As Dominick and Lisa walked back from the clearing, the wet, chilly air of the pack's territory seemed heavy. Dominick was reminded of the curse that had imprisoned him in his human form by the silent, gnawing ache that accompanied every stride. The weight of the situation was almost oppressive, and his body was weak and still reeling from Anabella's curse.

Lisa's presence beside him was both consoling and agonizing.
