19. Return

The journey back to the mortal world was so smooth that Violet didn't even notice that she had passed through the portal between the two worlds.

When she open her eyes body fell face down on the dry ground. Distinctive synthetic aroma and air that tends to dry. She got up and turned to see the remains of the open portal and maybe Nicholas was with her, but the man was gone.

He had already said that he would drop Violet off, watch over Violet from afar as long as she was in the human world and pick her up again.

"How can I contact you if I want to return to Lusevell?" Violet protested at the irrationality he explained yesterday "Do you even have a cell phone or anything that can get me connected to you?"

He laughed and waved his hand casually "Worry not, Violet. When you're done with your business here, you just have to say my name in your mind, then I'll come and take you back home safely. As easy as that"
