108. The Red Witch

As the effect of the potion faded, her consciousness slowly returned. Slowly the dryness in her throat returned as her eyelids opened completely.

Isabelle never expected that the first person she would see when she opened her eyes was Alpha Victor. But this wasn't a dream or a hallucination, it was real. The man sat beside her bed and helped Isabelle to lean against the back of the couch.

He also grabbed a glass of water from the nightstand and helped the girl to drink carefully. Her thirst made her empty the water with just a few gulps.

Victor blinked, he was finally relieved when she woke up. Looking at the girl's face now he sighed. Luckily the bruises on her face were completely gone. No more reddish-purple marks on her cheekbones.

"Do you feel any pain?" he asked to be sure.

Because it's possible that only the bruises have faded and the pain hasn't completely gone away. Victor needs to confirm that.
