letting go of the past and facing the fears

Lena's POV

I ignored what he said, stuffing more food in my mouth; I almost choked, and I started coughing because I had put too much in my mouth.

"Oh my, sorry, Lena", he said, offering me a glass of water.

I took ìt and gulped all of the content. I don't know why but what he said made me feel anxious and nervous. It's not like he hasn't made his intention known but I wasn't expecting him to put it this way.

"I think I am full?" I said

"But you barely touched your food,", He said, pointing at the plate.

I quickly scanned through my brain to find something that was a suitable excuse, immediately I got one.

"The baby sometimes doesn't need much food" I lied "Sometimes I get choked whenever it's full"

"Oh it does that," he asked

I could see that he wasn't buying into the excuse; he disdainfully looked at me, but what did he know? He's not a woman who knows how a woman's body works, and I was glad his sister wasn't around, she would have caught on. Bes
