"Fuck!" Cassandra cursed out loud as soon as she got into her bedroom, she threw her bag on her bed and walked towards the open window, her eyes fixed on the busy road before her.
She still couldn't believe that Dennis rejected her invitation, this is something that has never happened to her knowing how it took her so much consideration in her heart to stoop so low just to do something this ridiculous.
She began to pace around her room as she tried to stop the tears that wanted to fall out of her eyes. No way will any man make her cry again, not now, not ever.
That night she found it hard to sleep and soon, morning came. Feeling tired, she freshened up, brushed her hair and walked out of her house ready for her chauffeur to drive her to work.
Dennis let out a deep sigh, he dug his hands into his jacket pocket, glanced at Cassandra and smiled. "One of my reasons for moving away from New York is because it holds so many old memories that I don't want to remember. Growing up was never easy for me because I didn't grow up with that parental care, they were too busy with work to consider how i felt" he paused with pain in his eyes."I can never forget the days I felt like I didn't exist at all. There were times they left the house for months, leaving me under the care of nannies who were so selfish and treated me like they were not being paid to take good care of me. My childhood was just fucked up but I am glad that I am here, free from the pain, from the tears and everything that wanted to do nothing else but tear me apart, I am just excited because it feels like I have started a new chapter by moving far away from there" he said, hi
A ray of sunlight shone on her face, with a slight yawn, Cassandra rubbed her eyes which opened. The events of last night crawled into her and to her surprise, she found herself smiling. She turned to her side but Dennis was no way to be found."It's good that you are awake now" A voice said as the room door opened. Walking into the room was Dennis who held a tray filled with food. Cassandra looked at him in shock, she knew that there was no food present in her home and for him to bring such to her, he cooked it himself.Dennis saw the astonishment on her face, he laughed, and placed the food on a table next to her bed. "You don't have to look at me in such a way Miss Johnson" he stated and dipped both hands into his pocket.Cassandra glanced at the cup of
"I am sorry about the way my mum stared at you" Cassandra said as they both walked towards her car, work was over so it was time for them to head home.Dennis chuckled, "You don't have to apologize about that Cassandra. I can see that your mum is a very energetic woman".Cassandra smiled, she stopped, looked at Dennis and they both said nothing and stared at each other for what seemed like forever."Come have dinner with me tonight" Cassandra said to her surprise but she knows how serious she wants to spend more time with Dennis outside the office. "You treated me nice last night so just take this as a pay back" she smiled warmly at him. With a smile, Dennis didn't say a word but stared at her, his
Things went on smoothly in the company from that day on, with the help of Dennis,a lot of the company problems got solved and it's finances grew rapidly. Cassandra was so happy and she knew that Dennis is her lucky charm, a PA who is ready to work at any given time and someone who cares for her a lot.Cassandra's rudeness to her workers lessened a bit but she didn't fail to lash herharshness just to stop them from thinking that they can misbehave. Her friendship with Dennis also grew and the two of them met sometimes after work, they both hangout and talk more like old time friends.Dennis sat in his office, his eyes fixed on his laptop as he swiftly worked on a company report that will be needed the next day for a meeting.
"Cassandra, please listen to me, you have this all wrong, I swear to you" Dennis broke down in pain realizing what he had done."Do not address me as Cassandra, it is Miss Johnson and nothing more" she quickly shunned him, still not trying to turn to him"."But…"."Enough Dennis!" She shouted in anger, "I don't want to hear any explanation from you because you owe me nothing, I am your boss and you are my PA, nothing else so why do you want to explain anything to me?" She fired back so mad with anger but she didn't turn to look at him, her eyes filled with tears. "I want you to get out of my office, I need to be left alone" she instructed and waited for him to leave.Dennis was heartbr
Samuel sighed, you are right, it's pretty messed up and you fucked up but I won't blame you. We are men and we get attracted by what we see either boobs or couchie so you don't have to be so hard on yourself".Dennis looked up at his friend, "But what do you want me to do? How can I let her know that I don't have anything to do with the other lady because she thinks that I might have something going on with her that I don't want to spill out".Samuel attended to a customer who just walked into the bar and focused his attention on Dennis, "This happened at your workplace, the company you started working for a month ago?" He asked but his words sounded more like a statement and not a question."Yes it is".
Cassandra laid on her bed, her head rested on the pillow as she gazed at the open window, the gentle wind of the night swept in.She remembered the look on Dennis face when she said those words at the office, Cassandra knew how hmch her heart broke hearing herself saying those words to the man she loves but she could not hold herself due to the massive pain she felt, it was like someone pierced a sharp knife inside of her and she hated it so much. She got up, changed into her pink night rope and with her laptop next to her, she tried to do some work but she just couldn't, she felt so emotionally weak to do anything and it just frustrated her.As she sat staring at the images on her laptop, her doorbell rang. Cassandra got up, she ordered a pizza minutes ago
Dennis walked closer to her, Cassandra moved backwards with more tears rolling down her eyes."No Dennis, No" she muttered watching him come closer, the emotions in her were overwhelming and just watching her hold onto this pain was killing Dennis. He wrapped his arms around her, her son's piercing through his ears, he held her close as she struggled to let go of his touch but Dennis was not letting go, his eyes were filled with tears and the only thing he desires right now is to have her close to him."I am sorry Cassandra '' he whispered to her, held her close and put her face to his, their eyes locked together.Cassandra stared at the set of blue eyes in front of her, she felt so speechless and
"How could you let him leave Italy and come here to the US" Mrs Johnson said on the call, she glanced at Cassandra who slept peacefully on the couch."You don't expect me to keep him captive for so many years Vivian, Dennis is now an adult and he can detect for himself. It has been years since you helped me take him out of the hospital twenty five years ago but right now, I don't have any other thing to do anymore to keep him from doing what he wants". John Dutch responded as he smoked his pipe slowly."But you shouldn't have" Mrs Johnson snapped with anger,"Now things are so messed up because my daughter is in love with him without knowing that he is no one else but her nephew" she fired back, glanced at Cassandra and was happy that she is still asleep.
Mrs Johnson quickly let go of Cassandra's grip and stared at her daughter with stunned eyes. Cassandra could see her mum's face suddenly turn white as a ghost, her face not leaving her daughter."You mean you have seen Kate's son?" Her mother asked still in shock, her eyes not leaving Cassandra who nodded in affirmation.Mrs Johnson glanced at the door expecting whoever it was to walk into the house, "Where is he?" She asked as tears slowly appeared in her eyes.Cassandra looked down at the ground and back to her mother's face, she shook her head, "He isn't here with me mother but you have met him".Mrs Johnson stared at her daughter so confused, she couldn't understand Cassandra at all and w
Dennis started a Cassandra speechless, he never knew that he was a stolen child, no one told him about this.He glared deeply at Cassandra with tears in his eyes. If he is kidnapped, his parents must know something about this, they only told him that he is their foster son and nothing else."What is the name of my father?" He asked Cassandra who looked up at him.She looked like she was thinking deeply to remember his name, "His name is John Dutch" she replied and Dennis eyes some in shock. He looked at Cassandra as great shock filled his body, his ears unable to believe her words because John Dutch is no one else but the name of his foster Mafia father.
Cassandra felt her whole world collapse, she glanced at the paper in front of her and looked up at the serious face of Dennis.Right now, she knows that the truth has been let out to Dennis and lying to him won't be good at all. With agony in her heart, she closed her eyes and looked down, her eyes unable to look at Dennis face."Yes, I know who your mother is, Dennis". She confessed and her heart shattered into pieces.Dennis, frozen at where he stood, he stood straight, his shocked wide eyes fixed on Cassandra who didn't look up at him, with the guilty look on her. Dennis knew that Cassandra knew all along and didn't tell him, the realization alone broke his heart into pieces.
Dennis looked up at the blonde in front of him as he tried to understand what she meant by her words."Do you think that you will be able to say those words to me after I show you this?" Bella revealed with fury, placing a picture and a piece of paper in front of him, her eyes not leaving him.Confused, Dennis glanced at the paper in front of him, he looked up at Bella still not understanding what she was trying to point out."What is the meaning of this ?" He implored pointing at the paper in front of him.Bella smirked, "Why don't you open it and see for yourself" she pinpoint not trying to look away from him.At first, Denni
A figure of a woman was seen sitting inside her car with a stick of cigarettes, she puffed out a smoke, her eyes fixed on pedestrians who were walking down the street. With her pair of black sunglasses on, she glanced at her wristwatch, looked up and took another puff of smoke, longer and bigger this time around."Why the hell is he always late?" She asked herself, her body filled with nothing but impatience. It's already been a week since she gave him this job and now, she is here to take the result of the work she paid him for. With a frown on her face, she smoked nonstop as the car was filled with smoke, her eyes constantly checking her car. After a few minutes, she saw a huge white man in
Cassandra stared at the image right in front of her, her heart began to beat so fast than it has never been before. She couldn't move her body, it was like her whole world had just crashed down in a single blow and she thought that everything was finished right now. Hot tears welled up in her eyes as she couldn't let go of the image which stared back at her, memories kept crawling in like wildfire.Dennis noticed her indifferent behavior, he turned to her wondering what's wrong, his gaze surveying her face which felt like she had just seen a ghost."Are you all right?" He implored with a softening voice, his look very concerned.Cassandra quickly pretended like everything is fine, she looked up at him and smiled charmingly, "I am fine dear, I just feel so b
Cassandra watched Dennis walk into the nearby kitchen and arrange the food which smelled so nice. Soon, they found themselves eating and laughing heartily as the moonlight shone brightly into the house. After dinner, they both sat on the couch, Cassandra laid her head on his chest with their eyes fixed on the images on the TV set."This movie is a bit boring," Cassandra confessed, letting out a sigh."Do you want to watch anything else?".She shook her head, "No dear, I don't feel like watching a movie, I guess that's why it seems boring to me. I just want to do something else with you" she raised her head and stared at him.Dennis s
Cassandra and Dennis' relationship grew pretty quick more than they had ever expected. As their love for each other grew, so did their closeness, it was hard for anyone in the office to notice it because of course, Dennis is Cassandra's PA and they didn't display this love out in public."We love each other Cassandra, why can't you let people know that we are together?" Dennis asked her one night as they both went on a walk, a displeased look on his face.A worried look appeared on Cassandra's face, "We just can't Dennis" she let out feeling very overwhelmed by his question.Dennis stopped walking, he stared at her with furred eyebrows,"Are you ashamed of me Cassandra? Are you scared that people will gossip that you choose no one but your PA who is way below
