I couldn't read her expression so I placed my hand under her chin and raised her head up to meet my gaze. “Why are you quiet?” I asked, my voice soft as my eyes glared at her face.

“I'd clean your wounds.” She said, calmly before walking over to the drawer not too far from where I was.

Soon, she was back with a tray which had an ointment, cottonwood and other stuff.
