Damon:
I dropped my towel to put on my sweatpants when the door opened with a loud bang. And there she was, face red from anger. She was fuming. It wasn't hard to tell with the anger radiating off her.
Tammy:The car was deadly quiet as Damon drove to the town where the orphanage was located. The private investigator he'd hired included the location of the orphanage and its name.
Tammy:The drive to our new destination took another twenty minutes. The good thing was, it was within Asheville. Following the address the nun at the orphanage had given to us, Damon pulled up at the front of an old cottage.
Damon:Smith drove through the gates of the Hernandez mansion, pulling to a stop beside a car I recognized as Colton's and Victoria's. It wasn't in my interest to attend but they were friends with my parents, thus the friendship between Zoe and me.I alighted from the car and made my way to the door. I rang the doorbell. Tammy:I laid in bed, staring through the open window at nothing exactly. It was noon already but I had no intention of leaving the only thing that brought comfort to me—the bed. Mentally, I registered the sound of the door opening but I wasn't interested in looking at whoever it was.
Tammy:Once we were back in his room, he released his hold on me and I took a step back.
Tammy:The doorbell rang and I hurried to open the door, giddy with excitement. My grin widened when I saw Trinity with an equally wide grin on her face.
Tammy:Trinity had left for school and Damon wasn't yet back. It was evening already. I was home alone because Stella had traveled the day before. Out of boredom, I decided to work on some of my school assignments.
Damon:I cuddled with Tammy after dinner, reveling in the quietness of the room, while listening to her subconscious as she plotted different ways to get away from me after overhearing my conversation with Colton and Victoria.
