Mable smiled and patted Adam’s shoulder. “It’s good that you know.”

Adam looked at her and hesitated, but in the end, he did not say anything.

Mable walked into the study and saw Rory sitting in front of the computer, typing away on the keyboard, looking busy.

He raised his head at the sound of movement, and his gaze fell heavily on Mable. “You’re here.”

Mable nodded and walked over to sit across from him. “Are you busy?”

“I’m almost done.”

Rory closed the laptop in front of him, leaned back, and looked at Mable lazily. “It’s been three months, but you seem in better spirits than when you left.”

Mable touched her face. “Maybe it’s because my mood is better, so my complexion has improved.”

Rory looked at the diamond ring on Mable’s ring finger and clicked his tongue. “The wedding ring is quite shiny.”

Mable’s lips twitched as she lowered her hand.

Rory propped his chin up, saying slowly, “If I didn’t ask you, were you never going to tell me about your remarriage with Blair?”
