Mable opened the box in her hand, revealing a pair of bracelets with engravings. However, the engravings were not her name but a phrase that read, ‘wishing you a safe life forever.’

“Mabes, happy third birthday.”

Another gift box was presented to her. Mable opened it eagerly to find a Barbie doll set.

Blair took out the fourth gift. “Mabes, happy fourth birthday.”

This one was a stuffed teddy bear in a suit.

Mable had always loved stuffed teddy bears since she was a child. Even though she was now in her twenties, she still cherished them. There was always one next to her pillow in her bedroom, used as a cushion or for cuddling while sleeping.

She loved them so much because the last birthday gift her parents gave her when she was four years old was a stuffed teddy bear.

It had been their final birthday gift to her.

Mable held the teddy bear in her arms and smiled. “The suit on this teddy bear looks like yours.”

Blair cupped her face, making her look at him. “Don’t you think the
