Chapter 1616

"Sweetheart, be good, close your eyes and sleep."

Solomon gently stroked her head, his voice hoarse as he spoke, "You're still sick. I won't disturb you."

Ines suppressed a smile, her hand slipping under the blanket to touch his chest. "It's just a little cold."

"But that's not okay." Solomon caught Ines' restless hand. "Be a good girl and go to sleep."

Ines looked at him. "Really? You don't want to?"

Solomon gritted his teeth, gripping her hand tightly. "Darling, stop making me restless. Go to sleep!"

He was an ordinary man. How could he not want to? However, he could not bear to make her more tired as she was still sick.

If her cold got worse tomorrow, he would be the one worrying.

Ines chuckled softly. "Okay then, goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Solomon turned off the projector, and the lights in the bedroom went out.

In the middle of the night, Solomon woke up feeling warm. He touched Ines beside him and found her sweating profusely, even soaking through her pajamas.
