Chapter 1477

Mable had other matters to attend to today, so after chatting with Zoe in the living room for a while, she got up and headed to the backyard.

Kyle accompanied her.

As they reached the entrance to the basement, Kyle looked at Mable and asked, "Are you sure you want to go see Jeremiah?"

"Eventually, we'll have to face each other."

Kyle nodded. He said nothing more and went with Mable to the basement where Jeremiah was being held.

Kyle knew keeping Jeremiah alive benefited them, so he did not mistreat him. However, even so, Jeremiah's days were not easy.

At this moment, Jeremiah was confined to a small, dark room with only a small window letting in some sunlight.

Kyle had someone bring him out, and soon, Mable saw him.

After not seeing each other for a while, Jeremiah looked considerably worn out. He had an eye patch on, presumably because Kyle was worried he might try hypnosis to escape.

"Kyle?" Unable to see, Jeremiah asked aloud.

"Yes," Kyle replied calmly. "There's someone
