It was a sleepless night for Mable.

Early the following day, Mable went to Lemon's bedroom and found she was not there. As she descended the stairs, she saw Blair feeding Lemon breakfast.

Nicki and Spike had already finished their breakfast and were getting ready for school. Spike ran over to Mable as she approached. "Mom, you're awake. Dad said you slept late last night and should rest a little longer so he didn't wake you."

Nicki raised her little head and looked at Mable. "Aunt Mable, did you sleep well last night?"

"Thank you, Nicki. I did sleep quite well," Mable replied with a smile. Seeing the two children with their backpacks, she asked, "Are you ready for school?"

Spike held Nicki's hand and nodded. "Yes, it's time. Bye, Mom, we're going to school."

Mable saw them off and reminded them, "Be safe, and listen to your teachers at school."
