Catherine was flustered and confused. It had been four days since Nora left the house and she had not heard a single word from her till this current moment. She had since left the private hospital David had put her in and come home. They didn't say anything much about what happened. Catherine didn't regret it a little bit as long as she remembered she was doing it for a bigger purpose. “Many actresses use their body before they can get into the industry. I won't be the first.“ Those were the words she said to herself when David dropped her later in the house that day. She had expected to find Nora outside or in the sitting-room or possibly even in her room. But she had ransacked the house and found out it was empty. Then she sat down on the sitting-room chair and decided that Nora must have moved-out without telling her—more possibly because they had been on ill-terms before she left. But now, the more Catherine thought of it, the more stupid she realised it was. There was no
Mr Miller and Darkie arrived in front of the North-hollywood estate some minutes after the Scorpions left with Catherine. They came in a black Cadillac. Mr Miller and Mr Lyam and two Black Mamba soldiers sat at the back while Darkie and a the Chauffeur were at the front. Immeditely they reached their destination, Darkie first came out with the the black Mamba soldiers to observe the surroundings for threats. When they were sure that there was none, they opened the back door and Mr Miller and Lyam both stepped out of the car. A towing-van was around, and it seemed the people in it were unsure of what to do. There was quite a few number of people staring from afar and some looking right from inside the estate. A man resting on a Jeep with two strong-looking guys was talking to the people in the towing-van and demonstrating wildly. Mr Miller didn't have to ask to know that he was the owner or relation of the owner of the estate. Mr Miller approached the man with Darkie and the
Alvin returned from the bathroom ten minutes after he stepped in. He walked into the room, shirtless and sexy like a naked temptation. Nora had to stop herself from licking her lips as he walked in the room and went to take a towel near the wardrobe at the end. She watched him in silence as he dressed. He was wearing the cloth he had been wearing before going to the bathroom but he suddenly flung them in anger. “What's wrong?“ Nora quietly asked. “I can't wear these again,” he answered, almost painfully inaudible. “Why?“ “You know why. It's drenched in sweat from running.“ Nora nodded, like she could really understand his reason. “What do you plan to do, then? Stay shirtless?“ “I would—” “You could check the wardrobe. Might be lucky to find a robe in there from the room's last user.“ “That is impossible,” Alvin stubbornly replied, grunting like a spoiled kid. “This is North Hollywood. There aren't that many rich people here to lodge and forget their clothes in executive s
The black Mercedes Benz drove into a large compound and made a stop in the car park. Catherine shook badly and refused to raise her head even though she felt the car stop. Raven lightly tapped her back, sending a shock of electricity all over her body. “We're home,” he muttered while patting her back. The Scorpion Soldier at the back seat opened his door almost immediately and walked to the other side to open the door. “Raise your head!“ Raven said with a brush of anger and dragged her hair so she was looking straight at him. Catherine's eyes were red and full of tears, and she was shivering like a chick abandoned in the harsh cold of winter. She looked frightened like Raven's face in front of hers was the devil in human form. “Don't be scared. You'd probably get out of this alive. Only if you cooperate, though.“ Catherine just stared without answering and Raven got out of the car. He dragged her out with a half smile and banged the door behind them. The driver and sold
Mr Miller kept panting outside his Banana Penthouse. He had a big cigar in his mouth and a stern expression on his face as he had a lot of things on his mind. Some of the Mamba soldiers had attempted to calm him but he chased them off with a single glance, even Darkie. He sat on a chair near the car garage but soon stood up again almost immediately. “This better not be!“ he groaned, blowing hard at the cigar. Darkie suddenly showed up. He looked unbelievably calm, like he believed the earth was flat and nothing would happen as long as he doesn't fall of the edge. “Have you found him? Or them?“ asked Mr Miller. “There's no way we can do that, Don. The soldier assigned to watch his movements recently gave up for some unknown reasons. And we didn't find any CCTV Cameras that could've found where they ran to after they left the estate.“ “Why are you here, then?“ Mr Miller fired. “To remind me of how you warned that we should kill her then?“ Darkie nodded negatively. “We could
(Continuation of Alvin and Nora's scene) Nora felt her body go numb at the words she just heard Alvin speak. Her heart stopped its beating. Her legs were weak beneath her and at the same time refusing to give up. Time seemed to stop for minutes and the world suddenly stopped its rotation. They were both staring at each other, Nora's green eyes lacking emotion or colour. Alvin looked uncomfortable even though he was trying hard not to show it. And he had that familiar look of regret on his face—like he shouldn't have said what he said. Nora suddenly took a step back, her hands brushing the hem of her gown. Her eyes started to appear moist; and Alvin had the sudden wish to go back in time and bend their conversation to a different direction. Nora took another step, and a tear-drop slipped from her left eye. “Nora,” he calmly called, taking a single step forward. “Don't come near me!“ she yelled. “Don't even think of it.“ Alvin stopped, his expression shifting from regret to g
David Beckham was worried-sick and restless. He kept panting and walking about in his sitting room and taking a long pull at the bottle of Whiskey in his hands. His face was red and his eyes dark as a result of fear and dread. His phone was on the large leather chair behind him, and he kept looking at the screen for the possibility of a call or text. The reason for his uneasiness and restlessness was as a result of the fact that he had called Catherine and was talking to her when the line suddenly went cut. He would have thought for a moment that Catherine had purposely and angrily hung-up on him if he hadn't heard some strange noises in the background. He called her back a thousand times but the line was going straight to voicemail. And from the five-hundredth time he called her, it was switched-off. David crashed to the chair behind him, almost sitting on his phone in the process. He had hurriedly drove to North Hollywood and to the Estate with two bodyguards to check if Catheri
Raven was walking about outside the Los Angeles mansion thinking of possible ways to find Nora when his phone suddenly rang. He looked at the screen and frowned because the number was unfamiliar. He answered the phone at the last ring and put it on his ears. “Speak.“ “Your—” the person started to say but Raven cut him off. “Introduce yourself. Who are you?“ Silence on the line. “Do you want me to end the damn call?!“ asked Raven angrily. “No—no… don't! I'm your mother's good friend. She gave me your contact details sometime ago in case anything happens to her and she can't reach you personally. I'm—” “Wait! You said “if anything happens to her”. Is there a—” “Yes!“ the feminine voice was harsh and impatient. “There is a problem. Some men dressed entirely in black and looking devilish evil came to take her. A-and they were armed.“ Raven gritted his teeth. “Take her? Take her where?“ “I—I don't know. I was thinking of calling the cops but—” “Don't you f*cking call the cops!
Raven walked towards them with a gun in his hands while pushing Catherine forward. He had a look of bloodlust in his eyes as he stopped and spat just a few feets away from Alvin and Nora who were still on the ground. Catherine's eyes were half-closed from tiredness and fatigue and it seemed she hadn't realised that it was Nora in front of her. She finally did when Raven pushed her with force to the ground. Catherine groaned as her body landed on the ground and she looked up at Nora who looked equally shocked and confused to see her. Catherine's mouth was quivering as she stared at Nora, so guilty and distracted by her presence that she didn't see Alvin near her. “N-nora…” she stammered. “I thought you were… gone. I'm sorry for—” She had wanted to get up as she spoke but Raven kicked her back to the ground. “R-raven… don't!“ Nora screamed. “It's me you want, right? Take me and let her be.“ Raven laughed. “I've waited for this moment for a long time… ever since the will was rea
(Last chapter's continuation) Alvin lowered his height as he came out of the car. He wasn't wearing a mask again and his heart beat faster than usual out of fear. He really didn't have a plan—didn't know how the Scorpions or whoever attacked them was successful when Darkie and the Mamba Soldiers were behind. He was thinking to walk to the back of the car and start shooting then wait for Darkie and the two soldiers to join him. There was silence all around except from the occassional passing of other cars. Alvin balanced himself and looked to his right, just realising that they were well off the mainroad. He suddenly rose to his full height to attack the masked guys who had hijacked them when he felt the barrel of a gun on his head from behind. Alvin planned to surprise the person behind him and shoot him dead but froze when he heard a voice. “Don't even think about it. Drop the guns.“ Alvin turned slowly and gasped when he saw the voice owner was indeed Darkie. Before he coul
Author's POV They both came out of the office and started to go to the ground floor with Nora's hands in his. He had given her another cross-bag to put the pistols inside. Nora was almost tempted to stop at Amanda's office as they passed but didn't when she saw the expression on Alvin's face. They got to the elevator, and as they waited Nora wondered where they were going. “Nice of you to have kept your guns in your office. It seems you really trusted that guy.“ “I did,” Alvin responded. “And this is how he repays me—by fucking my secretary on my desk. I'm so going to fry him when I'm finally settled.“ “What about Amanda?“ asked Nora. “What about her?“ “What are you going to do with her?“ “Fire her of course,” Alvin replied with a smile. “I can't believe my father had actually wanted me to marry someone like that. Now I have enough reasons to not marry her.“ Nora wanted to speak but shut up as a result of the fact that he mentioned his father. The elevator stopped and op
(Last chapter's continuation) The Ferrari drove out of the hotel smoothly and without any problems. When they were out, Alvin was half-expecting guys wearing black jumping from the shadows to hijack the car. But nothing happened. Maybe it was this peaceful since it was still 7:30 in the morning. The car started to drive at a leisurely pace through the express road, and Nora continuously caught glances from Jake in the rear mirror which made her uncomfortable. “Why're we going to your company?“ she quietly asked Alvin. “Because I'm going there to take some things I need,” replied Alvin. He caught Jake watching them with curiosity and was almost tempted to slap him from the back seat. “Can I know what's going on now, please?“ asked Jake. “We're already “on the way”. Alvin sighed and looked at Nora who was now staring out of the window. “Jake, this is Nora. And Nora; this is Jake, my best and closest friend.“ Nora managed a nod, not bothering to say anything or look out of t
Alvin and Nora got out of the bathroom after towelling themselves in total silence. Nora picked a new pair of underwear from the ones Alvin had bought and put it on at the back of the wardrobe. Alvin did the same but didn't change his clothes since they were still new and fresh. Nora went back to the bathroom and combed her hair since it was rougher than the situation on ground, then she wore a khaki short and a big and black T-shirt. They were both done with their dressing at last, and could barely look each other in the eyes again. Nora felt weird. It seemed like making love with Alvin had completely made her forget that there was a problem at all. Both their lives were at risk, and yet they had forgotten that and were having fun in the bathroom. Nora suddenly realised that they hadn't left the hotel even when it was obvious that a close friend to Mr Miller was the owner. She realised both of their lives would be at stake if they didn't leave there in some minutes. And what stop
David couldn't sleep throughout the night. His eyes were wide open as he was completely confused and unaware of what was happening. He didn't know how he got cut-up in this situation, but he did know that Nora was linked to the reason he was there. He just couldn't close his eyes since he was constantly cursing himself and regretting the fact that he hadn't let her be even when she insisted and showed that she hated him with passion. Now, it was morning. And he could see the outside world through the dog cage he was in. He hadn't eaten or drank anything since yesterday when he arrived here—they hadn't given him anything to eat or drink. Not that he cared much about food, though. He was thinking about his family and how they may be faring after probably hearing from his staff and bodyguards that he left home and didn't come back for the night. He was sure they'd take quick action since he always made sure to inform them if he wasn't going to return and always called his Butler when h
Nora's POV I woke up with a smile on my face and wiped my eyes with my hands. The rays of the morning sun were poking-out through the blinds at the window. I had never felt this happy in all my life—my heart was filled with so much joy like I won a billion dollar lotto. I felt something firmly pressed against me from the back, and when I turned my head and discovered what it was, I felt my cheeks go hot. Alvin was lying on his side completely naked with my equally naked back pressed against him. His hands were slightly wrapped around me in a possessive way, and his hair was on the bed. I felt sore down there just from thinking of all the things we did last night. We had made love all over and over again until I couldn't take it anymore and crashed into his arms. I could tell that he was satisfied—and I had been too. I wouldn't deny that sex with him is the best thing that has ever happened to me—far better and more passionate than the ones I remembered having with David. I frown
Morning came at last. The sky was bright and promising a new day; and Los Angeles was as lively as usual. Catherine slowly let her eyes open to see the new day. Raven had totally forgotten about her since the last time he came. He didn't even ask any of the Scorpion Soldiers to feed or give her water. The tears in her eyes and face had dried completely. She looked worse than a slave who had not been fed for days and had been working non-stop despite that. Catherine managed to get up from the small bed in which she had barely gotten any sleep the night before. She crossed her arm over her body as a result of cold. Last night had been so cold that she felt like she would freeze to death since there wasn't a blanket on the bed. She felt hungry and abandoned, and wondered who Nora was and why she (Catherine) was going through hell just because of her. “You should have thought about that before you sold her information to that guy,” a voice in her head said. Catherine started to cry
Don Miller gritted his teeth as he stepped out of his Cadillac car. One of the three Black Mamba soldiers who had accompanied him for the day slowly shut the door behind him as his legs touched the ground. The angry-looking Don turned the moment the door was locked and said to the soldier who closed it: “Why did you shut the door with so much force?!“ The helpless guy looked at the other two soldiers in confusion and shock. He looked really confused because he had locked the door really professionally and silently. “I thought I shut it well, Don. I'm sorry if it might have sounded forced to you.“ He bowed to show his sincerity. Don Miller's anger heightened to the fullest. “Are you trying to say I'm deaf? Or I don't know what I'm saying? You f*cking shut the door with all the force in the world and you're denying it! Are you freaking insane?“ The soldier looked a little frightened and flustered as he crashed to the ground and begged the Don for mercy. “I'm sorry, Don. I'll never
