A deafening silence gripped everyone in the hall.

A cold fierceness gleamed in Gerald’s eyes as he scanned the crowd emotionlessly.

The servant trembled. It was beyond her expectations that Gerald would come home at this time. Terrified, her legs went limp. “Mr-Mr. Gerald…”
