Connor shut up immediately and did not say another word.

However, Gerald knew Connor’s information could not possibly be wrong. If he said North had used a platinum card, that meant she had one.

That was weird. The abandoned eldest daughter of the Myers family? A platinum card owner? This was surprising news.

North did not notice the tension in the study, so she held out the men’s watch from the set. “This watch may be cheap, but the craftsmanship is good so it won’t look like a low-quality item. Here.”

Gerald chuckled. “So, you went out just to buy me a watch?”

North blinked innocently. “Yes.”

“What made you want to get me one?”

North tsked. Why? Because it was his birthday, obviously.

But she had heard from Steward that for some reason, Gerald never celebrated his birthday.

If she told him it was a birthday gift, he would probably get mad.

So, North made up an excuse. “This watch goes well with your suit, so I wanted to give it to you. What’s with all the questions?”
