Chapter 76 - Alice

“Do you want to see the footage of Kendra and Amber being dragged through the mud?”

That question made Alice look up in surprise, taking her out of the thoughts she had been immersed in for some time, if not hours. She had exchanged her puffy dress for a simple satin one, her shoes were already off her feet and one of her long pantyhose was bunched up at her calf. But even so Alice stopped what she was doing to watch Massimo push his wheelchair up to where she was sitting, on the edge of the bed.

“What did you say?” she blinked, confused.

“The cameras at the back entrance recorded Kendra and Amber being swept away by the mud left behind by yesterday’s rains.” Massimo repeated, his expression unreadable, but if Alice tried really hard, she could even tell he was worried “Will seeing this make you feel better?”
