Chapter 79 A Hot-Blooded Argument

Adeline ignored Zoey. She continued walking out of the store, holding Chloe's hand.

Zoey stepped forward to stop her and asked, "Adeline, why are you in a haste to leave? Are you guilty of anything which you have had done to me in the past?"

Sebastian's face flashed with a sense of anguish when he saw Adeline. Turning to face Zoey, he held her hand and said, "Zoey, come on. Let's not fight anymore. Let's go home and talk about it, okay?"

"What's wrong? Are you feeling bad for her?"

Zoey questioned Sebastian sharply. She did not intend to let Adeline off the hook.

Chloe looked at them and could probably guess what was going on between them.

She remembered Adeline told her that she used to have a boyfriend, but Adeline didn't mention him any further, so she never asked.

Adeline let out a laugh, "I'm not the same as you nor do I have a courage like yours. You're really brave in picking up what others don't want."
