Chapter 47 A Realistic Dream

Adeline's heavy eyelids struggled open, but the glare of the sunlight was making it difficult.

Suddenly, her phone she put on the nightstand rang.

Adeline reached her hand out and grabbed it. Fumbling, she placed it by her ear and answered gruffly, "Hello?"

"Adeline, where are you?" Ronald's voice came from the other side of the phone.

Adeline was wide awake instantly. She sat up from the bed and asked softly, "Dad, what's the matter? Why are you calling me so early?"

There was a moment of silence before Ronald finally said, "Zoey's engagement party is today. You should come if you're free."

"Alright, Dad. I'll be there later."

"Okay, then. See you soon," the call ended quickly.

Adeline stared at her phone in a blank daze and wondered if Ronald was worried that she might not show up for Zoey's engagement party.

Then, all of a sudden, Adeline felt a cool breeze brushed against her back. She looked downwards at herself, and she could
