Chapter 6

Tera enters Sebastian's resting room, which was intentionally designed for Nora's presence at any time in his office. There is a king-size bed in the middle of the room, Nora's toys, a food cooling machine, drinks, and all of Nora's other necessities.

The young girl, Nora, is crying on the bed. She looks so sad that she sobs while hugging her teddy bear.

Tera sits beside Nora and gently wipes away the tears streaming down the little girl's cheeks. Instead of stopping, Nora's tears continue to flow even more on her beautiful face. Tera extends her hands, and Nora immediately jumps into the warm and comforting embrace of Tera.

"Shh... What happened, Daddy's little one?" Tera asks, patting Nora's back.

"I'm not Daddy's child!!" Nora screams.

The toddler's words surprise Tera, and she quickly looks towards the door where Sebastian is. Much like Tera, Sebastian also looks shocked upon hearing Nora's words.

"Sweetheart, who said that to you?" Tera exclaims.

"Issac!"

Tera's mind immediately goes to the boy mentioned by Nora, "Isaac! That naughty boy!" Tera angrily thinks to herself.

"Isaac said that I am Daddy's adopted child. I don't have a mommy because mommy abandoned me!"

Tera tightens her embrace around Nora, defending her even more firmly. Her eyes turn to Sebastian, who turns and leaves the room with a sad expression on his face.

Tera shakes her head, understanding that this is a sensitive topic for Sebastian. But Tera always believes that Sebastian must learn to face situations like this because Nora will grow up every day and continue to question this within herself, especially since Nora has a bothersome friend like Isaac at the playground.

"Nora, look at this photo..." Tera coaxes.

The little girl lifts her face from Tera's chest and looks at the picture frame of herself and her father in Tera's hands.

"Is this Nora?" Tera asks.

In the photo, Nora is only two years old. She is still very small and adorable, just like she is now, but with a much higher level of whininess and hyperactivity. At that time, when Tera had some free time, she tried to take a picture that left her quite amazed. It was the moment when Tera first saw Mr. Sebastian sitting comfortably while holding Nora, who was gleefully looking at the snow in Grindelwald.

How could she not be amazed? While Tera took care of Nora, Sebastian was always busy and didn't have time for her. He would only carry and cuddle his daughter when she cried or threw tantrums, but otherwise, Nora would spend a lot of time with Tera and Sofia. But since seeing how beautiful that peaceful moment in Grindelwald was, Tera has been encouraging Sebastian to spend time with Nora not only when she cries, but also when she is happy.

"That's Nora... with Daddy..." Nora replies, still sobbing.

Nora's hand reaches out to touch her favorite picture displayed in the resting room, her teary eyes gazing at the image of herself smiling widely at the camera, her Daddy smiling sweetly in response.

"Look at Daddy's eyes..." Tera murmurs.

Nora caresses her Daddy's sharp eyes.

"Daddy's eyes?"

Tera, who was momentarily lost in thought, finally realizes and turns to Nora. At that moment, she realizes that Nora has turned to her with a questioning look.

Apparently, for a few long seconds, Tera was captivated by Sebastian's distinct features. His sharp, intimidating eyebrows, his dark, deep-set eyes, his proportional, pointed nose, his high cheekbones, and his well-defined, lightly bearded jawline all contributed to his masculine appearance. While his name is Sebastian Lim, his heritage is evident in his face. The blood of the family runs strongly from head to toe. Only his business acumen, pinkish lips, and slanted eyes were inherited from the Lim family.

In Tera's eyes, Sebastian is a man with slanted eyes, but with a unique combination of features. Tera, a fan of Indonesian cinema, sometimes compares Sebastian to her favorite handsome actor, Rio Dewanto. And when her Korean obsession takes over, Tera even compares Sebastian to Gong Yoo, the actor who portrayed Goblin. Basically, any handsome man with slanted eyes will always be compared to Sebastian in Tera's mind.

"Daddy's eyes are the same as Nora's, aren't they? Look, they have the same shape. And their eyes are black too. The eyebrows are the same..." Tera explains, "Their lips are the same, their hair is the same... So it's impossible for Nora not to be Daddy's child. Nora is very similar to Daddy."

"Why isn't my nose the same as Daddy's? Isaac said that my nose is small, not like Daddy's high nose!"

"Isaac probably hasn't met Grandma, right? Nora's nose is the same as Grandma's, small and pointed. It's a beautiful nose…"

Nora grabs the nose that was just praised and pinches it playfully. "My nose is the same as Grandma's?"

Tera nods and smiles in agreement.

"Uhm..."

"What's wrong, sweetheart? Don't hesitate, just ask Tera..."

"Uhm, if Mommy had the same nose as Nora?"

Tera chokes on her own saliva and scratches her suddenly itchy cheek.

"Uhm, I'm not sure... we can ask Daddy, okay?"

"Auntie, you don't know Mommy ? Even Sister Sofia doesn't know Mommy. So I don't have a Mommy?" Nora starts crying again.

"Shh... The only ones who know Mommy are Daddy and Grandma. We'll ask them, okay?"

Nora covers her face and says, "Don't want to!"

"Why don't you want to?"

"Annoying!"

Nora closes her mouth again, hiding her face in Tera's chest.

"Do they not want to tell Nora?"

Nora nods amidst her tears.

"We'll find out together, alright?"

"Promise?"

"Promise!"

There's not much Tera can do except to comfort Nora in her embrace until her breathing becomes regular, her body relaxes, and the atmosphere becomes calm.

Tera bows down, gently lifting Nora's chin. The little girl is fast asleep after crying.

Nora will turn five soon and will be entering kindergarten. It's hard to believe that Tera has been accompanying Nora and Sebastian in their daily lives for almost two years. Tera thought that two years would be enough for her to accompany Nora until she grew up a little and understood her father's situation better. But it turns out, five years old is still too young for Nora to fully comprehend everything. Miss Lim is still too naive to understand everything related to her life.

However, Tera is certain that sooner or later, Nora will rebel against her Grandma and Daddy if she doesn't get answers about her Mommy. Especially since Nora will soon join kindergarten and meet new friends who will question the absence of her Mommy, just like Isaac did.

Tera's pondering is interrupted when the door opens, and Sebastian Lim appears from behind it. He bows down, his eyes fixed on the soundly sleeping Nora.

"She's asleep?"

Tera nods, lifting Nora with both hands and placing her in the center of the bed.

While Tera is busy fixing Nora's slightly damp face, suddenly the bed sinks down, and Tera feels a push on her shoulders. She stumbles backward and freezes, observing what Sebastian is doing beneath the bed.

"W-What are you doing, Boss!?"
