Chapter Two

The Greens company stood tall in the middle of the city. Cars passed by continuously without a break as well as people

Everybody in the company looked busy and occupied. No one daring to make a mistake

Employees were paid with the maximum amount of salary to their satisfaction, so the little mistake you make, you get fired without a second thought

In the conference room of about forty people, Alexander sat with a serious face. Listening to and assigning other tasks for most of the entrepreneurs present

Alexander is the CEO of Greens company. Having under his command is about ten different companies and businesses

Getting the chance to work with Alexander is every business entrepreneur’s dream in this city. One could easily make enough money by joining hands with the Greens company or working under them 

After the meeting was over, Alex left the conference room with his assistant and went back to his office. He looked very exhausted, but he still opened his laptop and went through some business advertisements 

His assistant looked at him with worry. His boss haven't had even a nap since yesterday all in the name of work

He didn't even show up for his own wedding. And he didn't give a damn about it

After going through all the advertisements, Alex took off his suit and took a rest finally. But it didn't last long as his assistant had expected

"Ask Vanessa to see me" Alex ordered his assistant in a more stable tone. He looked like the few minutes rest he had taken was enough to keep him going for the rest of the day

Few munities after his assistant left, the door swung open after a knock and Vanessa walked in with a wide grin covering her face

Alex always felt satisfied to see his sister. She's his second in command, and very capable also

"What's going on in my dear brother's mind huh?" Vanessa occupied the seat across Alex's desk and asked softly

"How did the wedding go yesterday?" Alex replied Vanessa with his own question

"Normal. I just can't stop hating that idiot. She's already getting on my nerves" Vanessa replied with a frown

"I know. We attended the same college once, and I never liked her. She's very ugly too. I still can't believe I've married such a prostitute just because of revenge" Alex sighed out with dissatisfaction

"But its still worth it at the end. You don't need to see her as your wife if you don't want to. We just have to go on with the plan and nothing changes. You'll divorce her after six months right?" 

"Yeah. I just wish today was the day, so that I could just divorce her right away" Alex frowned deeply after saying this

Seeing so much hatred in her brother's eyes for Lucy, Vanessa smiled slyly to herself. There's no way she's ever going to allow her brother have any pity for that new wife of his

No matter what happens, they'll complete their revenge on the White family within the next six months and leave Lucy on the streets as planned

Lucy opened the door to her room and clapped as she stepped in

Dennisa and Lora looked shocked. They glanced over at the things they had packed on the bed and exchanged looks worriedly

"Such a nice drama ongoing. I think it'll be nice to inform the Green family who the eldest daughter of our family is. Or what do you think, mom?" Lucy asked with a faint smile

She has been entertaining these two people all her life. But not anymore

At first she wondered why she was addressed as the elder daughter of the family during the wedding yesterday, but now she finally understand

It was Lora they had intended getting married to, but she was rather the one forced into this marriage

Which means something is definitely not right somewhere

"You won't do any such thing Lucy. You're already their daughter in law. And that's it" Dennisa stepped closer to Lucy and warned sternly

"hah.." Lucy chuckled and walked to Lora's side. She stood beside her with their shoulders in line and spoke calmly "I'm not as stupid as Lora mom. I know what to do. And no one can stop me" 

"What are you trying to say?" Lora turned to look at Lucy and asked anxiously

"I know you want the son of the Green family, and he's mine now. Why don't you tell mom that you love that guy and wish you were his wife instead? Why don't you tell her the kind of nasty things you did back at college just to crawl into his bed...?"

"Lucy!.." Lora glared fiercely at Lucy trembling vigorously

She took a glance at her mom hesitantly. When she saw the surprise look on her face, she rushed to her side and took her hand gently "don't pay any attention to all that Lucy just said mom. You know I can't do all that. You trust me right"

Dennisa didn't say anything. She just slowly let go of Lora's hand and stepped closer to Lucy. Then without wasting another second, she gave Lucy the tightest slap of her life ever

The slap echoed in the room and all the way down to the hall. Aaron felt tempted to find out what was going on and slowly headed upstairs

"Mom..." Lucy held onto her slapped cheek and murmured

"Who the hell do you think you are woman? Get yourself and your filthy stuffs out of my house this minute!" Dennisa yelled at Lucy with her index finger pointed at the door

Lucy squinted her eyes angrily without any word. After grabbing whatever she needed, she gave her mom and sister one last fierce glare and strode out of the room

Not knowing Aaron was just at the door, she bumped into him and got caught in his arms as the things in her hand slipped out flying in the air

After a short silence, Aaron let go of her and helped her to stand well "Sorry"

"Amm..yeah.." Lucy felt a little embarrassed

She quickly gathered up the things and left first leaving Aaron behind as Lora and Dennisa stared at them with surprise

Aaron nodded his head as a form greeting at Dennisa and quickly followed Lucy outside

After both of them were seated in the car, he started the engine and drove off

Aaron wanted to say something, but he was short of words. He didn't know how to start up a conversation after what occurred between them earlier in the house

He cursed himself several times for making Lucy feel embarrassed as he drove. And thought of finding a way to make it up to her another time

Later in the evening after dinner....

Lucy took a bath and went into her closet for a night wear

Last night she had went to bed with her wedding gown thinking her husband would come and help her take it off as it was their nuptial night, but he never showed up

After trying on all the night wears in the closet, Lucy still couldn't find the one appropriate for her

They all looked too short and revealing, making her feel a bit uncomfortable

Mr Stanley said her husband will be coming tonight. And she felt shy to let him see her in such kind of night wear

After pondering for a while, Lucy decided to put on one of her old night wears. She brought them along this morning when she went to get her stuffs from her old home

But it was almost 11pm, and she thought possibly her husband wasn't coming home again today also. So she slid into one of the exposing night wears and slammed her body onto the bed with a loud sigh

Rolling a few times, Lucy gradually fell asleep at the edge of the bed

Few minutes afterwards, the door to the room swung open and Alexander walked in
