Chapter 72

As planned, this evening Ashton once again invited Alice for a walk. Tomorrow afternoon, they would have to return to Indonesia.

Originally, Ashton and Alice were supposed to return on Sunday. However, knowing they had to go straight to work on Monday, Ashton changed their return schedule. His intention was for them to rest before resuming their usual activities the following day.

Walking through Tokyo city streets hand in hand, Ashton held Alice's wrist tightly, affectionately. Engaging in light conversation, they both seemed to enjoy every passing moment.

Ashton seemed content to spend prolonged time with Alice. Likewise, Alice felt the same. They discussed many simple things until they finally reached their destination.

"So, are we eating here?" Alice asked upon entering one of the cafes on the outskirts of Tokyo.

"No," Ashton shook his head, even though they were clearly inside and looking for a seat.

"Then why did we stop by this cafe?"

"We're just meeting a friend of mine. Proba
