Intense conversation

I went back to pick up my backpack and headed into the woods to find my way back home.

I was in pain but my mind was more focused on who it was I just encountered back there.

Now Ethan will find out my little secret. I am injured and he is going to demand a cause.

I felt both angry and disappointed. My body was aching. I could use a nap but it was getting late. Not that I was afraid of the dark but not going back to the pack will raise suspicion. I don't want the others to ask a lot of questions.

As my mind wandered about, trying to guess who could be responsible for the attack I suddenly felt a change in the atmosphere.

The air felt charged with electricity, and a sense of unease settled in the pit of my stomach. My heightened senses were on full alert, and every rustling leaf and snapping twig made me jump.

This was strange. Although I have experienced weird scenarios in the past where something strange just happens, it has been a while and it has never made me this nervous.
