18. Threatened

“I’m not going out as long as there are no clothes I can wear!” exclaimed Beverley, who then closed the bathroom door quite loudly.

Brent snorted. “Whatever,” he muttered coldly. He left Beverley and started busy with his laptop and work.

Meanwhile, Beverley waited patiently in the bathroom. However, after a long time, no one came to deliver her clothes. She gets annoyed. Did Brent trick her?

She opened the door again and asked, “Brent, why isn’t it here yet?!”

Brent didn’t answer her question. She got impatient and stepped out of the bathroom to see if he was still in the bedroom.

Brent’s voice came from the living room. The man is on the phone with someone. Beverley only heard a few sentences before the man finally hung up. Right after that, there was a knock on the door.

Then Brent opened the door, which immediately showed Jace carrying several large paper bags. “Sir, these are clothes for Madam.”

“Okay. You are free tonight. Do whatever you want,” said Brent, taking over the paper
