As night fell, Kiara went out of her room and from the manor area on foot. She had told Aunt Pansy that she wanted to buy some food for a while. After working hours, servants were free to go out of the manor and do whatever they wanted, so Kiara didn't have to worry that she would be wanted at this time.
On the way, she passed by the little werewolf children who were playing with their parents in the park. She couldn't help but smile at the sight. It must have been so nice to spend her childhood with her parents and family, unfortunately, she never got to meet them.
She grew up in an orphanage, no one knew where her parents were and whose child she was, it wasn't until she was five years old that Kiara was adopted by the Omega family who said they were friends of Kiara's father. Her adoptive parents then said that her parents had died when she was a baby.
The girl was walking leisurely while carrying a basket filled with warm bread and various jams. From her back direction, someone grabbed her shoulder and turned her body quickly. Kiara gasped in surprise, as she looked up at the man, he had a mischievous grin on his lips.
"Where are you going, slut?" The man asked, growling.
Kiara took a step back. Her adoptive parents had a son who was three years older than her, Leon. Now he stood right in front of her.
"I want to visit my friend's house, she is sick. I'd like to bring her this food" Kiara replied softly. Not wanting to start a fight with him.
The girl was about to leave him when the man's hand blocked her path, Leon stepped right in front of her. He grinned even wider at her slightly scared expression, as he always did.
After she turned sixteen, her parents said that Kiara should be able to support herself, and it would be great if she could give them money. Her adoptive parents weren't wicked, they gave Kiara food and clothes and a place to stay even though she is not their biological child. So she couldn't argue much when her father kicked her out.
Kiara left home and worked in a bakery where she made a friend, a human girl her age named Lana. From then on she was relieved to finally be separated from her rather cruel brother.
"Leon, let me go. Why are you always bothering me?" she have no idea what he wanted from her.
"Don't you miss me, little sister? You've got your own happiness outside that you forgot about me?" Leon sounded exactly like a sulking boy.
And with the pungent smell of liquor coming from him, Kiara could easily guess what kind of place he had gone to. Leon's bright brown hair looked disheveled and he was staggering.
"You should be glad I'm out and no longer a burden to mom and dad" Kiara replied in a firm voice, but her lips tremble.
But that's what Leon always told her. That he wished she could disappear and stop being a burden to their family.
Leon let out a loud laugh. He leaned towards her small frame "I heard you're working at Malion Manor now, am i right sweetie? You must have a lot of money now. Now sweet sister, give it all to your brother as you promised"
He started groping her body, looking for pockets. Kiara pushed his body so hard that he staggered back.
"Leon! stop it! I don't have what you asked for."
She didn't bring the money he asked for, her answer didn't make him happy at all. He looked furious because he didn't get what he wanted, the man twisted her arm until the basket of food fell. Leon pulled her to a quiet and dark corner under a tree.
"Stop it! Let go of me!" Kiara rebelled with all her strength.
He silenced her screams with a hard slap on her right cheek that made her head turn. Her ears were ringing from the severity of the slap.
"Now you dare lie to me little slut" He hissed in her ear "have you forgotten who has been feeding and giving you a place to stay all this time?!" He grabbed the hair at the back of her head, forcing Kiara to look him in the eye.
Her lips trembled, and there was blood on the corner "it hurts, Leon" she touched her aching cheek with her palm.
Maybe if she didn't fight he would let her go soon, he never like resistance and would only beat her harder every time she resisted. That's what Kiara experienced while still living with her adoptive family.
"But I don't have the money you want right now" She replied "I'll give it to you as soon as I have it. I promise"
But Kiara was wrong, Leon had no intention of letting her go. He grabbed her hair even harder until a sob of pain escaped her lips.
"Liar, you must have it somewhere. I will check it myself. Now, take off all your clothes!"
Kiara shook her head in fear. She gripped the clothes around her chest tightly. It was so quiet here, there was no one passing by that she could ask for help.
If she screamed, perhaps someone would come. Kiara was about to open her mouth when Leon smothered her mouth tightly, making incoherent sounds that came out of her.
"You silly little girl. You think anyone will save you now?"
He bent her body, making her half-kneel. Kiara closed her eyes as she suddenly felt a sense of deja vu remembering Leon many times putting her in this kind of position. And this would be followed by something more painful.
She closed her eyes tightly, biting her tongue against the pain as the blow landed along her back. This time he used his own hands, in the past he even used wood or something that would leave bruises. Kiara felt dizziness so intense that who knows how many punches landed on the back of her head.
"Take it! Your punishment for daring to lied to me! Tak-"
He growled before his hand landed on her head again his body was forcibly pulled away. His grip on Kiara slipped, didn't have time to see who had dared to interfere because a strong punch landed on his jaw. His body was slammed into a tree trunk, and he slumped to the ground.
A tall silhouette approached Kiara's body lying on the ground. The man lifted her body in his arms.
Dave pulled her hair away from her face, seeing her cheeks reddened and the blood on the corner of her lips, the Alpha felt his anger rising. He glanced at Leon who was not moving and about to kill him.
She mumbled something that sounded like a murmur of pain, her eyes closed tightly. Dave embraced her, and quickly he brought her back to the manor.
Dave had called Gwena, the doctor at the Pureblood pack, to come to the manor to check Kiara's condition. The Alpha's return to the manor with the unconscious girl carried in his arms caught the attention of everyone in the manor and made them wonder what had happened. He took the girl to her bedroom and laid her down on the bed. Kiara's eyes were still closed tightly, making him even more worried. Hearing what just happened, Pansy and Ghea immediately came to Kiara's room and were surprised to see the Alpha already there. It wasn't long before Gwena arrived. "You check her," Dave ordered as soon as Gwena entered the room. "Alright Alpha" Gwena had never seen the Alpha this worried before, and the woman immediately approached the bed where a girl was lying. The news that Alpha Dave had come to the manor with a fainted omega also reached his mother's ears. Macaine rushed to the room to confirm it for herself. The Alpha's mother is a graceful woman and had such an intimidating aura t
Though she had never met her parents in person, Kiara dreamed of them again. Dad said how brave girl she was and the caress of mom's fingers in her hair washed all the pain in her heart and body away. However, when she attempted to reach for their embrace, her mom and dad presence diminished. Vanished like nighttime mist in the breeze. They smiled at their daughter and left. Her parents were gone. Disappeared. On a sudden, all of her pain came back again. She woke up with her breath catching and cold sweat making her strands stick to her temple. She took a deep breath. He was just here. His scent is still lingering. Alpha Dave must not have left her room long ago. She closed her eyes against the unpleasant feeling that suddenly appeared in the pit of her stomach. She got up from bed and saw something that made her cheeks feel a pleasant cool smeared on her right cheek. Herbal ointment. Then the memory of what happened before replayed in her mind. Leon's slap was as painful as al
Her wolf leapt among the wild flowering shrubs. Its paws scratched the fragrant, moist forest floor, carpeted by a tapestry of maroon and brown fallen leaves. Kiara followed the soft sound of gurgling water to find a shallow river in the forest. She reached the clear stream and looking at the surface, saw the reflection of the wolf staring back at her. Anyone who saw her silver fur would not be able to take their eyes off her. Not just because she was beautiful, but also because a werewolf with fur that glistened like the Moon Goddess' light was extremely uncommon. The silver wolf had previously been Luna from the largest pack in Arathei city that had died out about twenty years ago. It was when she turned fourteen that she found out that the Moon Goddess gave her this blessing, or curse. There had been no silver wolves in Guivor for half a century. They were hunted by all Werewolf packs and the wicked Vampire families seeking her power for their own benefit.Kiara never let her w
It was forbidden for servants to stare directly into the eyes of their masters. So when Daniel led her away from Flora and Caty, Kiara glued her eyes to the floor. The Beta's displeasure showed soon after as he raised his tone of voice, which made her flinch."Which one is your room?"She pointed to the hallway where her room was. When she first started working here, the servants' pavilion was full. There was only one small room that seemed to have been used as a warehouse that she could live in. Luckily, Aunt Pansy and Ghea helped her make it into a more decent bedroom. They gave her a mattress and a blanket. Even so, the stuffy air could not be removed, nor could the cold as the night approached due to the absence of heaters or fireplaces. "Where do you keep your medicine? I will help you treat your wounds". Kiara could see the Beta did his best not to comment on the sad state of her bedroom. Not much medicine was kept there, even so she reached into the drawer of the wooden night
Dave was filled with rage that boiled in his guts as he stormed the maids' pavilion to find the omega girl's room. He broke into her stuffy bedroom and, upon finding her sitting on her bed, immediately grabbed her skinny arms so that she rose to her feet. He didn't care that his grip made her bite her lip in pain. Dave wanted to crush her bones right now. She looked up at him with a pair of wide hazel eyes blinking with fear, tears forcing their way down. But that wouldn't fool him.She had the courage not to tell him the truth. The Alpha's gaze dropped to her flat stomach. The fetus.'How idiot, what made me think that it was me who impregnated this pathetic Omega?'He spent many nights looking into the matter, whether this servant of his had a relationship with another man. When the evidence led to 'no' he was finally at a loss. She might just be a weak Omega and just a maid. But when she had the audacity to carry the part of his in her womb, Dave wouldn't let her go. But tonight
"Did you manage to do what I ordered?" Angeline asked impatiently to the two Omega before her.Flora and Caty both dropped their gazes to the floor. Caty's wrist was tightly bandaged because the bone there was slightly displaced. It made the skin around it bruised. "Did you hear me?!"Flora raised her gaze to answer the Luna "Luna...we're sorry...but that night Kiara managed to escape from us. I think we both failed to at least give her wounds""What?! How did that happen? How did that weak Omega just escape easily and you let her?" Angeline's voice was sharp, her tone rising, making the two girls flinch. The Luna crossed her arms. The look in her eyes also showed that she was not at all satisfied with the work they had done. Flora dropped her gaze again, she could only hope that Angeline would not cancel the promised wages.Angeline had told them to make Kiara's life miserable. Because Alpha Dave wasn't going to kick her out, so Angeline thought, with all the obstacles and distract
It took a while for her to calm down after Noah's hurtful words to her. Kiara understood that he was simply stating the facts. Noah was right. Even though she no longer lived in that house, she couldn't get out of Leon's shadow. If Noah had been telling her she was weak and pathetic, she should have accepted it. But still those words were painful. Kiara held back from dropping those embarrassing tears but she failed. She leaned against the wall in the back kitchen, deserted from the other servants, and sobbed softly there. She felt embarrassed with herself. By nightfall, she had finished her work and had showered and changed into clean clothes. That's when there was a knock on her door and Ghea poked from outside, "Let's go to the kitchen. Tonight is a banquet dinner for some pack members. We must serve the food." Aunt Pansy had told her this morning, but she had forgotten about it, "Alright, let's go." It was rare that there was usually a dinner banquet at the manor. Alpha D
Kiara confirmed once again whether Eudora was really talking to her. She didn't want to make a mistake that would earn her another scolding. "Are you okay?" Eudora repeated. Because she did not get an answer, she took the initiative to reach for Kiara's hand and say, "The hot jam got on your hands." I'll get some ointment for you." Kiara immediately withdrew her hand, it was a reflex movement because she simply couldn't believe it. She had just committed a silly act of carelessness that had almost blistered Luna Angeline's thigh. Eudora had absolutely no need to worry about her hand. The Alpha's sister knitted her brows, not offended, more confused "It will burn your skin." "It's okay. It's just a little and no pain," Kiara replied stammeringly with a faint smile. Madame Macaine's words still made her heart thunder against her ribcages. She felt stiff in place, afraid to move or even make a sound. "What are you looking at? Quickly get some cold water and ointment for the Luna!"
Kiara was relieved to learn that Daniel had kept his word and taken Lana to the safe place, the manor, where she had been residing for the past few days. None of the threats she had received in the packhouse would be present here. They got up early and took Acadia for a stroll through the rose garden and the greenhouse. The greenhouse was a sight for sore eyes, as all the flowers were blooming like nobody's business despite the late spring. Lana was holding a bundle of joy in her arms as the little one was busy checking out the lay of the land. "I can't believe It's real. I've always wanted to visit a greenhouse since I was a kid, but the ticket in the city costs half of my grocery budget for the month. When I got here, I was like, "Does anyone have a whole greenhouse in their yard? haha." Lana laughed as she finished her sentence.Kiara remembered that the first time she worked for this family, she was just as excited as Lana. It would have been nice to take Lana here back then, to t
He pulled her dress up, bent, and pressed her legs against her chest. She pushed her panties sideways in a rude movement. Dave didn't give her even a moment to protest or catch her breath while he lowered the zipper of his trouser and guided his already hardening cock into her. Kiara's eyes widened in panic as she felt his long and girthy length slowly trying to penetrate. He intended to do it here! "P-please don't do it here-" she tried to make him hear her.But her efforts were in vain as she struggled to catch her breath, and all that came out of her lips was an incoherent moan when his body started to move in sync with his thrusts into her. Slow at first, but Dave picked up the pace over time, which overwhelmed her. She hugged his body. Crumpling his shirt and burying her face in the crook of his neck, Kiara closed her eyes. Her face was flushed and hot. She felt extremely ashamed and overwhelmed. She bit her tongue to keep the embarrassing voice from escaping her lips. She was
It's past midnight and Kiara can't sleep. Three days have passed since Dave sent the triplets to the Lycans and since then, she can't sleep peacefully. She was alone in the room because Dave had gone out after dinner. Acadia was with Rosemary so Kiara didn't have to worry about her at least for now. Rose to her feet, she grabbed a thick coat and put it on over her flimsy nightgown then darted out of Gwenna's house. She had to walk quite a far before she finally spotted her mate standing under a willow tree. Dave had his back to her and not seeming to hear her coming, Kiara ran to him. "Dave!" He turned around and was surprised to see she was there. "Kiara? Why are you here?" He reached and held her hand so that she wouldn't slip on the grass that was wet with night dew. Shouldn't she be the one asking why he was here? He didn't catch up with her in their room after dinner and instead, went out with Sam. After that day with the triplets, he made the pack members realize how important
Gwenna was the first to realize that the person they were waiting for was already in place. She didn't care anymore if Kiara wouldn't; she would tell everything to the Alpha about what the triplets were trying to do to the human girl. And let's see what Dave would do to them. 'They think that they won't get punished?' Gwenna's temper flared up as soon as she heard Kiara say that yesterday."Dave, they're being insolent to Luna Kiara! "They broke the pack's rules, and they tried to hurt Lana!"The Alpha and Beta had just returned from their jogging around the packhouse and were greeted with this commotion.Dave didn't immediately respond to Gwenna and tackled Caleb and his brothers. He walked over to his wife instead. Kiara had already risen to her feet. One hand was tightly wrapped around her other arms. Dave noticed the reddened blister on her right elbow, and his jaw clenched. She stared at him with visible relief, but there was also subtle worry. "Dave...""Are you alright?"She no
Acadia was crying loudly when they returned. As a baby who didn't usually fuss when someone else was holding her, it seemed that the baby was angry when she woke up and it wasn't her mom by her side.Rosemary bounced her on her arm, trying to stop the crying. She breathed a sigh of relief as she saw Kiara. "Oh, thank goodness you've come." She handed the baby to her mother. Kiara ran the tip of her fingers over Acadia's nose, which was red because of her weeping. She knew that the baby wasn't hungry because she had breastfed her before, so she must have cried when she woke up and felt an unfamiliar figure with her.And sure enough, as if instantly recognizing that her mom was back, Acadia's crying subsided. Her little fingers tugged on Kiara's hair, making her chuckle. "Are you looking for mommy? Relax, my dear; Mom is here now."Gwenna joined them after returning from the kitchen. "Kiara, did you call me earlier? I'm sorry I didn't hear it; the music was so loud. What is it? I hop
If she arrived even a minute late, Kiara didn't know what could happen to her best friend. Lana was curled up on the ground. She had tried to fight and run as fast as she could, but she stumbled, and they caught her easily. She was surrounded by three pack members, who Kiara noticed don't usually go to the manor to carry out Dave's duties. The three male members were young, at least in their late twenties. They seemed to be not only bothering Lana trivially but also scaring her to death until the girl's body trembled. The other two young guys who brought her to Lana are named Ezekiel and Luke. They saw what the three people did to Lana by accident and immediately reported it to Kiara. And once she got that information, she froze in place. Lana! She had forgotten about her friend. She forgot Lana was still at the party! Her panic over Acadia's safety earlier made her completely forget that she was in charge of one more person's safety. Her human friend, whom she invited to come here.
The baby's cries grew louder and louder, and Kiara rocked her in her arms, intending to calm Acadia down a little. "Ssh, ssh, mommy is here, Cadia. Sleep again, sweetheart." But she knew that once the baby was awake, it would be harder to get her back to sleep.Dave stepped up to his Luna after signaling the others to just go ahead with the feast and pretending what had just happened never happened. But he had sent Daniel to tighten the guard, especially if there were still people like Arthur in the pack. "My daughter is distracted, isn't she?" He spoke softly to Kiara, lowering his body slightly as if for Acadia to hear him. "Don't be afraid, little one; Dad already took care of that damn bastard, that damn rogue. He won't be able to harm you, I promise." Locked in the dungeon, even though Dave didn't give any orders on what to do with Arthur other than lock him up, what the rogue had just said was enough to get him in big trouble. The pack members in charge of guarding the priso
In an instant, all attention was drawn to the person who had shouted so impudently. The crowd parted as the person stepped forward. Dave cannot shift his gaze from someone who has so boldly said such a thing. He was a man, still young, in his early twenties. He had an almost-bald haircut with piercings along each of his ears and tattoos on both his arms. At first glance, he didn't stand out from the other pack members. But he knew that this man wasn't a pack member. "Closer," the Alpha ordered. The man made his way closer to the Alpha and the Luna of the Pureblood pack. Dave remained calm while Kiara stood vigilantly in her place. She tightened her embrace with Acadia in her arms as the stranger approached. She was disappointed, but not surprised. Somehow Kiara had prepared herself for disapproval if Dave decided to make Acadia his heir. But she thought it would be because of her position before she became Luna, because she was a low ranking werewolf back then, rather than because
The day they brought Acadia to the pack has finally arrived for the very first time. The baby is now one month and three weeks old, a little later than the age at which the naming ceremony should have been held.Only pack members would attend the celebration—someone who is not from the Pureblood pack, only Rosemary and Lana. Kiara invited Lana only after she got permission from Dave. "Are you sure you want to invite your friend?" Dave asked her, sounding a little unsure of Kiara's decision to invite the human. Lana would be coming alone, as Hannah was unable to attend. "Yeah, I'm sure. She's happy to come," Kiara reassured him. Dave stared at his mate quizzically and said, "But isn't she a human, Kiara?"His words brought Kiara's full attention to him. For a few moments, she was left dumbfounded by what he said. She calms herself. She knew he meant well; it wasn't because he hated having humans at his daughter's naming ceremony. "Yes, Lana is a human, Dave. But she's my friend, and
