Josiah
“Please shut your girl up,” Sage whispered to me when Hannah was bawling her eyes out on the movie that we’re watching.
I glared at him. “Could you blame her? We’re watching a drama, moron!” I hissed.
Sage rolled her eyes at me. “Is that even normal?” he muttered to himself and continued watching the movie.
This was a free cut for all of us so we decided to spend it here at my place because Hannah is supposed to come. I don’t want her to come to our HQ because I don’t want the boys to get mad at me.
The rest of us are already sleeping on this boring movie. Sage was busy glaring at Hannah who bawling her eyes out at this sad father-daughter scene.
I wrapped my arm around Hannah’s shoulders and pulled her closer to me. “Stop crying,” I whispered. I am trying to stop her for real because Sage looks like he’s about to turn the fucking TV o
EuniceWhat a coincidence. What a disgusting coincidence to see Josiah and his friends with his girlfriend in this café.I can’t believe I had an encounter with his girlfriend who is seemingly so clingy to him. Is that why everyone around him doesn’t like her for him? Because she’s too clingy? But then again, why do I even care, right? It’s not like I am affected by them.I’m not.“Are you alright?” Mona asked me when Nanette and I arrived at our table which is placed just across Josiah’s table.I nodded. “Yeah, why would I not be?”She shrugged while Nanette and Mitch chuckled. They all seem to be enjoying this awkward scene—especially Nanette who even introduced herself to Josiah’s girlfriend.“This is such a good day,” Mitch laughed. “Isn’t it, Eunice?”I rolled my eyes. I don’t know why
Josiah“Tomorrow is your wedding,” Mom said as she entered my room.I nodded as I walked towards my closet to put back the suit I will be wearing tomorrow. “I know.”She sighed and sat on my bed. “Have you told her?” she asked.I shook my head. To honest, I don’t know how to tell Hannah that I am getting married. I don’t know if I can stand her leaving me. I don’t know if I can watch her walking away from me.“Why? You should have told her,” Mom said.I took a deep breath. “Don’t go there, Mom. I don’t want to talk about it,” I replied while I tried to contain my anger.I hate it when she’s asking about Hannah and I like she’s concerned about us but then she made me marry someone I don’t love. She’s blackmailed me into this wedding and I can’t make myself forgive her for that.“Wouldn&rs
EuniceThe priest already began the ceremony but my heart couldn’t stop beating erratically. I wanted to run away because I couldn’t believe this is actually happening to me but when I saw how Josiah looked, my head was already in haywire.“Are you okay?” I heard Josiah ask me.I nodded. I guess I’m acting weird, huh? He doesn’t really ask me if I’m fine. But right now, he did. Maybe I was overdoing this. The wedding rites continued. My parents were crying as I read the vow that the organizer has written for me. But they were even crying more when they heard the vow that Josiah was reading. I bet it was also written by our organizer because I heard them talking about that.I can hear Sage laughing quietly from behind. Josiah glared at him before looking at me.“The groom, please repeat after me,” the priest said as he started reading the vow.Josiah took a deep bre
Josiah“She’s looking at you,” Sage whispered the moment I sat on their table. “She seems tired,” he added.I sighed and glanced at her. She is looking at me but immediately looked away when she saw me glancing her way.Stan laughed. “Maybe you should ask her if she wants to leave,” he said.I glared at him. “Are you kidding? Where on earth would there be a wedding reception where the wife went home earlier than everyone?”Bradley shook his head. “Come on, bro. She looks so sleepy. At least let her sleep for a bit,” he said as he munched down the sashimi.Stan nodded. “Then, come back. We have something to talk about,” he said in a serious tone.I nodded and stood up to walk towards Eunice. I pulled a chair to sit beside her before leaning in to ask if she’s tired. She nodded and I can see teasing faces from her friends.“
Eunice“You can sit down and rest if you’re tired,” I heard Josiah tell me as we moved our things to our house.I panted and sat on the porch. We have been moving things for two hours now but I haven’t even moved half of my wardrobe in my room.Josiah looked at me while he carried the couch inside the house. He doesn’t look so stressed like me. Well, he’s a boy so he could do this thing for a whole day and not get half as tired as I am right now.I fixed my hair in a ponytail before going back to the storage truck to get my things.Damn. I hate Mom for letting us do this. She should have asked someone to do this for us! I need to review for an exam tonight. Damn it.“I got this,” Josiah said as he walked beside me. He pulled the rack of my clothes without sweat.I looked at him and he just shrugged at me. “Are you finished moving your things?” I aske
Josiah“Woah, is that Kyle Kim of the College of Law?” Bradley asked as he looked at that familiar man from behind me.Stan nodded at me. “He’s hitting on your wife,” he said.I narrowed my eyes and turned to the direction of Eunice’s table. True enough, there was Kyle Kim trying to shake hands with her.She stared at his hand and I’m guessing that she will not shake it. I know her. She’s cold and mean. She doesn’t like strangers. She doesn’t talk to them.Sage patted my shoulder. “You’re not going to do anything, dude?” he asked.I glared at him. “Why would I do anything?” I asked. He shrugged. “Because she’s your wife and that man’s trying to steal her away from you,” he explained.I scoffed and shook my head. To be honest, I’m still kind of offended that she turned me down a while ago. I wa
Eunice“I hate this day,” Mona muttered under her breath as we walked towards the gym.“I know,” I replied as I lazily dragged my feet as I walked.Mona and I met accidentally at the entrance and that’s when I knew that she was also dragged here because of we have the same professor in PE.“Stupid PE,” she muttered as we looked for a place to sit.A lot of people have come into the gym. Actually, I heard from our class leader that this game is one of the most sought-after games of the coming intramurals.I only knew that we’re already having the elimination games for the inter-department basketball competition in preparation for the upcoming intramurals.Mona and I sat at the middle portion of the southern half of the bleachers. It is one of the places where the whole court can be seen. And we can also see who’s entering the gym because we are facing the entr
JosiahFuck. I need to get out of here.I shut my eyes and tried my best to stop myself from punching the locker once again. I stared at my hand. It has the ointment that Eunice applied.I swallowed hard. What was I doing? Why was I so annoying?I sighed and plopped myself on the bench inside the locker room. I needed to calm myself if I want to go and play. But then I’m already injured. I’m sure Coach wouldn’t let me play like this.My phone beeped and I immediately read the message.Hannah: Can you pick me up now?I bit my lip before taking a deep breath. Right, I should focus on Hannah because she is my girlfriend. I shouldn’t worry about Eunice too much. She can handle herself. This is wrong. I shouldn’t get affected for her.I already told her that Kyle is dangerous. It’s up to her if she still wants to get close to him regardless of what I just told her.
JosiahBlinding lights.White ceiling.White walls. It’s hard to open my eyes but I can feel an oxygen mask on my face. I must be in the hospital. The last thing I can remember is getting shot by Night Train, who happened to be Kyle Kim as well.Eunice came running to me while crying. I held her face and apologized because I couldn’t do anything to protect her but she cried even more.“Son…” I heard Mom’s voice as I shut my eyes forcefully. She must have noticed the change in my facial expression.I took a deep breath and tried my hardest to open my eyes. I couldn’t feel my whole body. It’s as if I was paralyzed.Mom’s worried but relieved eyes welcomed mine as I opened my eyes. She’s crying as she looked and called my Dad.Mom’s holding my hand and squeezing it. “Thank goodness, you’re awake!” she let out as she
EuniceFuck? Two members of SeQret are down but Nanette is injured. Zinger, apparently and expectedly, used a knife to stab Nanette’s right leg. She’s wincing in pain as Mona assisted her to come near us.Her right inner leg is bleeding profusely. Mona ripped Nanette’s pants where the wound is and applied pressure to control the bleeding.“I hate that bitch!” Nanette seethed with anger.I know. I hate her too.I looked at Zinger who was already smiling in triumph while she looked at us. Now, I won’t hold back anymore. Since they used a knife, I might as well give them a good fight.“Are you next, Gemini?” Zinger said menacingly as she expertly maneuvered the knife on her hand.I glared at her. “Satan really doesn’t play fair, huh?” I said as I picked up a long and thick PVC pipe on the ground.Zinger looked at me with widened eyes. She isn
JosiahThis is not what I had expected when I asked her to watch this horror movie.Usually, most girls would definitely be afraid and clingy but Eunice was different—entirely different. While every single woman inside the cinema was busy screaming in fear, Eunice just sat beside me, ate popcorn and…watched. She didn’t even seem so scared.I tried to hold her hand—and that’s the farthest I could go, I didn’t even hold her hand!—and she let me. I tried to feed her with popcorn but she just glared at me.Oh, heavens! What will I do with her to make her a normal girl? Sure she has some moments where she blushes but those were moments when we are alone in our room…naked inside our blankets. Damn.Eunice looked at me intently as we settled ourselves in an Italian restaurant. She’s already complained of how much calories she’s already had for today but she wanted to eat some p
EuniceIt’s going to start soon.Mitch had already received the letter of the fight information. We’ve been practicing hard on our own. I don’t know what Glyph is up to but I think they are trying to strengthen up, too.15th of October. Same place. Same time. –SeQretThat’s five days from now. Mitch and the rest of the girls are already well prepared. I, too, prepared for that. Five days is a long time to wait but it’s an advantage because we can strengthen more.Except when I think I am feeling so lethargic.“Are you alright?” Mitch asked me.I looked at her. She might have noticed that I am not feeling very well. I smiled to reassure her. “I’m good.”She narrowed her eyes at me, seemingly not buying what I am saying but she just nodded. “You can rest,” she chimed.I smiled and shook my head.
“Hmmm…” I chuckled weakly as Eunice murmured on my chest. We’re in our room, lying on our bed, cuddling. And I couldn’t even think of anything better than this. Her arms are wrapped around my waist while her face rested on my bare chest. I hugged her tighter and kissed the top of her head.“Baby, we didn’t use protection again,” I whispered. She slowly looked at me, slightly blushing. “I know,” she replied.I pursed my lips in a thin line. I know that she isn’t ready to have a baby yet and I respect that. I can wait until she’s ready but we’ve just had multiple sexual intimacies without protection.I don’t want her to think that I am trying to get her pregnant. Heck, the last thing that I want her to think is that I am trying to start a family with her even though she’s not yet ready.I sighed and kissed her forehead. “I’m sorry. I c
Eunice“Hey, Eunice. Are you and Josiah together?” one of my classmates from Philosophy asked me.Actually, I was taken aback at her question. This classmate of mine—none of them, as a matter of fact—has never spoken to me ever since the beginning of the semester. But now that a lot of rumors are circulating about me and Josiah, she somehow felt comfortable to ask me. I hate these kinds of people.I gave her a blank stare. “Why do you need to know?” I asked. She bit her lip and tucked a loose strand of her perfectly curled long hair behind her ear. “Everyone is talking about you and Josiah being so close together,” she replied.I raised my brow. “What is it to you, then?”I know when girls ask this. She’s probably one of the hoard girls wanting to be Josiah’s girlfriend. Josiah may not tell me about it but I know that he has tons of girls craving for his
Josiah“They teamed up with Astra,” Stan said as we huddled in the HQ.Just hearing the name Astra, my heart flutters that it hurts my ribcage. Remembering how my wife is in that gang and how they’ve joined forces with our archenemy is going to be the death of me.Sage sighed.“Does that mean we’ll need to take SeQret’s offer?” Charles asked.“No!” I vehemently disagreed. They all looked at me questioningly. I know what they are thinking. They must be thinking that I couldn’t get over Hannah yet but no. I don’t want to team up with some other gang to beat my wife’s gang.Stan creased his brow. “What’s wrong?”I pursed my lips in a thin line before letting out a deep breath. “Please don’t do that…” I told them. They all looked at me in confusion. I feel so stupid begging them not to do that.
Eunice“The leader of Glyph has been trying to contact me,” Mitch said as we all huddled in the headquarters. The three of us waited and listened to what our leader was about to say but I guess all of us knew what Mitch was going to say.“They want a collaboration.”Glyph is the second most powerful male gang. Next to Ventrex. I heard that Glyph lost five consecutive fights with Ventrex. As a matter of fact, no gang has ever won against Ventrex. That’s how powerful and dangerous they are in the underground world. So, I guess, Glyph was already running out of trump cards. Now, they’re trying to join with us.Nanette shook her head. “I don’t like the feeling of this. If Glyph will collaborate with us, then I’m pretty sure Ventrex would bite SeQret’s bait.”Mona glanced at me. “This is so twisted.”Mitch sighed. I just shook my he
JosiahI was so stunned when I saw my wife walking down the stairs. She’s wearing a royal blue dress lined with sequins. Her hair is pulled in a clean low-bun that accentuates the perfect shape of her face. She’s wearing light makeup but it seems like she’s ready to make up my whole world.Eunice stopped in front of me with a narrowed look. “What?” she asked.I grinned and shook my head before taking her hand on mine. “You look like you’re ready to take everyone’s breath away,” I told her.She blushed at my words as we got into the car.Tonight is the launch of the newest chain of pharmacies of Eunice’s dad. It’s a huge event and a lot of high-profiled businessmen are set to be there.Flashes from the cameras welcomed us as we got out of the car. The valet immediately took my keys and I let him park my car.“There are a lot of press people,
