Coming into Hong Kong didn’t just mean that she would act as his wife. Luca asked her to become his personal secretary. He insisted it was for his protection—something she was very good at.

However, Fiona thought this had become a problem.

First, Luca didn’t tell her about her gorgeous secretary that was working for him for two years now. Naomi Jiang.

She was tall, about his age, and drop-dead gorgeous. Fiona thought she could easily join Miss Universe or any other international pageant. She stared at Naomi before she took a sip of the coffee in front of her.

Fiona’s smile didn’t lessen the tension inside Luca’s office.

“You want me to train her?” Naomi asked, eyebrows lifted in surprise. The sweet smile on her face when she welcomed Fiona, vanished as if it was never there in the first place. “Mr. Han… may I know if I did something wrong?”

Fiona waited for Luca to answer the beautiful woman.

“No. But I needed someone to help me while I was abroad. I needed someone proficient. Someone like you. However, I understand that you are already stomped with work. Miss Jiang… I think you should train her so she could follow me around in the travels.”

The woman’s jaw dropped. Her gaze shifted in between Fiona and Luca before she faked a smile. “Of course. I understand. Miss Chen? Please follow me…”

“She will be working inside my office,” Luca added. This time, Naomi’s face contorted before she smiled.

Naomi said, “Of course. Make sure to arrange everything. Miss Chen… please follow me to my office. I will tell you everything that you needed to do.” Naomi stood up and straightened her black pencil skirt that perfectly hugged her thighs. She smiled at Fiona before she sashayed out of the office.

Seeing her gone, Fiona looked at Luca who only gave her a nod, smiling.

‘F*ck you,’ she mouthed. No wonder Luca wanted her to help him scare away other women. Even his secretary wanted him.

“You already did. Miss Chen. You already did,” he said with a chuckle and she rolled her eyes in response before walking out of his spacious office that resembled the living room in the house. “Unless you wanted to do it again?”

Fiona heard him ask as she walked out of the door. ‘Pervert,’ she thought inwardly. Of course, she knew he was only joking. Since she saw him last night, Luca had been trying to make her comfortable by telling her some bad jokes. At the end of the night, Fiona’s stomach hurt so bad from laughing at him—not at his jokes. Fiona didn’t answer him. Instead, she continued walking and followed Naomi to the small room just next to Luca’s office.

“In this line of work Miss Chen, you can’t walk like a turtle,” Naomi said in a stern tone. “If I say, you follow me. Then… you follow me immediately.”

“I will remember your words once Mr. Han wants to talk to me in private,” Fiona smiled. Almost immediately, the room turned tense. Fiona ignored the woman’s glaring eyes as she examined the room. It wasn’t big, but it looked like a hotel’s front desk more than a secretary’s office. She eyed the awards that Naomi used to decorate on the shelves to her right.

Those were the best employee of the month awards and much other stuff that she received.

“I saw your resume. And let me be honest with you. I don’t think you are qualified for the job.” Naomi ignored Fiona’s words. “You finished medicine but weren’t able to have your license? You have no experience aside from working as a secretary of the American Company called WILD and WICKED. The company is not as big as HICI. Even your CEO is not qualified to become an executive secretary.” Naomi lifted her gaze from the laptop in front of her. “I am not insinuating that you did something else to get the position. But… I don’t think this position would suit you.”

Fiona snorted. The identity that Candy made for her was really helpful, ah. She sat on the only chair opposite to Naomi. Then she flipped her long auburn hair and said, “So?”

If one would ask Fiona about her talents, she would immediately say that pissing people off was her specialty. “Do you own this company?” Fiona added when she saw Naomi’s face turned ugly. Fiona’s lips lifted into a smirk. “I thought so too…” Then she nodded and looked around. “This office is good. But working inside with Mr. Han is better. Don’t you think?”

“Do you even feel a bit of shame, Miss Chen?” Unperturbed by her words, Naomi asked. “You are not qualified, and yet you insisted on staying. You even dared to be smug about staying in his office? Miss Chen… I have never seen anyone as shameless as you.”

“Thank you.”

“That wasn’t a compliment,” Naomi said with annoyance.

Fiona could feel the woman’s anger behind her calm eyes. She smiled. “I know.” Ignoring the woman’s glare, she continued, “So? About my job….”

"For now, you can start by handling his phone calls. You will receive and screen phone calls and redirect them when appropriate. I am sure someone with your qualifications can easily do this, right?"

Fiona nodded. The reason why Candy made her background like that was that she wanted Fiona to handle all of Luca’s phone calls. This was important in her line of work.

“Aside from this, you will also handle and receive all outgoing or incoming correspondence—Email, letters from fans, packages. Since we don’t have someone that would give all the letters and packages here, you will have to go to the office in the basement to sort it out. As a trainee… you will do this alone.”

Fiona’s lips thinned. Still, she nodded and maintained her smile. Between operating on a fugitive and working in the basement, this job was considered simple at all.

“You will start working tomorrow,” Naomi said. “But it is essential that you come here in the basement to familiarize yourself. Those boxes are full of letters to Mr. Han. You have to check every letter and arrange it by… date.”Fiona eyed the stack of boxes in front of her. This room was definitely a storeroom. It wasn’t dirty, but it smelled of wet paper, which wasn’t very pleasant. “There are about fifty boxes in here,” Fiona said. And what did familiarizing mean? Was she supposed to look at everything today? This woman’s scheming was a bit irritating, eh?“Sixty-eight. There are sixty-eight boxes. Full of letters, the packages are at the back. There should be about twenty boxes of those packages,” Naomi said as she looked at her wristwatch. “I still have to attend

This woman was truly shameless. Fiona had been here for a couple of days and she was already accusing her of something. “Miss Jiang, I have only been here for a couple of days. Or have you forgotten that?” “You–” Fiona smiled at Naomi. Despite being distraught, Naomi looked divine in her makeup. She was wearing a pale blue suit that highlighted her curves. It wasn’t vulgar or anything. In fact, it looked cool and fashionable. With her hair in a bun, Naomi looked professional and intimidating at that same time. “Of course, if uncle was so concerned about the Han Family then… why not just make her your secretary?” Luca sneered. This scheme was of course created by Fiona. It was a simple one. First, Cedric needed to get rid of the people that the Jiang Family put inside the company. Getting rid of spies should be his priority. He needed to establish his name, and he wouldn’t be able to do anything if there were spies all ar

How come she never heard about this before? Obviously, the Han Family must have tried to hide it as it would only ruin the woman’s reputation. As someone with Chinese blood, she knew how people in China and Hong Kong care a lot about reputation. They would care about preserving their face more than they would care about the mental health of their child.
