Lucy's POV;After finishing the dinner, when i came to wash my hands, Tyler said to me, "Did you take the meds?" I showed my wet hands saying, "I just finished eating my dinner, Mr Ackerman." "I'm just reminding you." "Thanks for the reminder, Mr Ackerman. I'll take the meds. You don't have to be worried about it." And walked away from him. In the kitchen, when i came for water, a maid asked me, "Do you want anything, mam?""I'm here for a glass of water."When she tried to fetch it for me, i stopped her and said, "It's fine. I'll take care of it."I poured myself a glass of water to take medicines, Diana came to me and asked, "What are you doing in the kitchen?" After seeing the medicine, she continued, "What are these medicines for?""For the flu.""Oh, i didn't know. Are you alright? How are you now?" "I'm good now. Thanks for asking.""Get home and take some rest." She patted on my shoulders.Daniel came to us and asked Diana, "Shall we leave?" Diana replied him, "Yeah. I'll
Lucy's POV;While I was eating my breakfast, Tyler sat beside me at the dining table. He took a plate and served himself a large amount of food and started eating it. While i was having food, i saw him chuckling at something while eating his food. The chuckles didn't stop over time so I asked him, "What is it?" "You'll get mad if i say.""Tell me.""I remembered you being clingy towards me last night. The picture of you pleading to me is still rewinding inside my head." He let out a laugh and continued, "It was funny to see you in that manner after getting used to your mean and rude talk. To be honest, I was surprised by your actions…" and laughed again. I ignored him and continued eating breakfast. He continued, "I should have recorded it with my phone. I feel bad about it now. Is that how you behave when you're drunk? So clingy.""I hated alcohol all my life." I lifted my head and said while looking at him, "I'm sure that i didn't take a sip of drinks last night." He tapped on m
Lucy's POV;When I came to Tyler's house, I saw Tyler working on his laptop. After drinking a glass of water, I sat beside Tyler and said, "If you have so much work to do, then why don't you go to the office and work? Why bother staying at home and making it difficult?"He didn't give me a reply and continued looking at the laptop. "Why the long face?"He gave me a stare and said, "Nothing." "I have something important to talk to you about. Are you free right now?" "Let's talk later." I closed the laptop and said, "Didn't I mention it's important?" "What are you doing? I have work to do.""Do it later."He turned to me and asked, "What is it?" "Why did you spike my drink?""What?" "I know you're the one who spiked my drink."He let out a sigh and asked, "And do you have any proof for that?" "I know it's you.""Who told you?""Why do you want to know the name? Tell me why you spiked my drink."He leaned back on the couch and said, "The person who told you that I was the one who
Lucy's POV;Sweating woke me up from my sleep in the middle of the night and I couldn’t fall back asleep. I rolled out of bed and grabbed my phone off my dresser to see if Tyler was awake. After a moment I realised it was still dark outside and that no one else would be awake. When i checked the time it was nearly four AM.I groaned and got out of bed to go down stairs. I needed some water. I didn't realise how tired I was until I had drunk almost all of it. Once I finished with that I grabbed a couple granola bars and headed for the kitchen. As I sat at the kitchen table sipping on a glass of juice, my mind wandered to what had woken me up. It felt like someone was watching me, but I knew there wasn’t anyone there. Then it occurred to me that maybe that was just my paranoia talking and I put my glass down. The doorbell rang and startled me. I looked around wondering who could have possibly been here this late. When I opened the door there was a man standing there. I thought he l
Lucy's pov;I walked into Tyler's cabin and saw him working seriously at his desk, as usual. I took a seat at my desk and saw a bunch of files on it. While I was figuring it out, Tyler said, "Discard all the unwanted ones , please." I nodded and did just that before he looked up, noticing me sitting there. He gave me a little smile and asked, "Can I help you?" His voice was always gentle.I shook my head and said, "It's fine."After separating the files, a single document was left on top of the others. When I opened it, it was titled “Project: Project Report.” The content was sparse. It only contained two names: John Fenton and Mark Drake. Maybe it's one of those important documents. I kept it in the drawers and carried the unwanted files to the document room. I had my reasons to be concerned with it. The file was labelled "Project: Project Report". There weren't any names attached to them. I wondered who they were. Was it someone from the government? Someone from the CIA? I shrugg
Lucy's pov; While I was looking at the password bar on the computer figuring out the password, the cabin door opened and Tyler walked in and asked after seeing me standing in front of his computer, "What are you doing with my computer?" he said as usual. He didn't look angry or anything but it seemed like a normal thing to ask about someone's computer when they're sitting in it with them. But I know he means no harm so I'm not really bothered by the question. I quickly turned off the computer and showed the files which were lying on his desk earlier saying, "I'm organising your desk .""You could do that later, right now we have business to attend to." and walked into the cabin. "What is it?" I asked curiously. He pulled out an old black bag. "I have an important meeting with one of my clients this afternoon that requires all my attention for several hours." "Why do you need me there?" I asked as I got up from my seat and walked closer to him. He didn't reply directly. Instead
Lucy's pov;I woke up to the feeling of something heavy pressed on my chest. I shifted a bit and tried to look around only to realise there was no one in sight. I was in my room at Tyler's house, but I couldn’t recall falling asleep here. I saw my hands being wrapped up in bandages and felt them sting from how tight they were, and suddenly remembered what had happened last night. The face of the man who kidnapped me filled my mind. He was tall, thin with pale skin, and his face had been twisted into an expression of pure hatred. He looked young, probably somewhere near the age of thirty or forty, judging by his features. His eyes were dark blue, almost black and looked like he hadn’t slept at all. The way he talked didn't make him sound much older, either. What did he want with me? I then remembered what he said to me. 'Follow his instructions once I get to Tyler's house.' Who was he? I didn't remember seeing him at Mr Anderson's house during Christmas dinner. I wonder how many peo
Lucy's pov;I came downstairs and saw Tyler sitting in his usual spot on the couch with his laptop open and he was staring at it like it was about to start talking to him or something. He looked up when I walked through the door, "Do you want something?" he asked. "I came for some water." I answered and went over to the kitchen. He got up from the couch and grabbed a glass before I did and gave it to me. I let out a sigh and said while showing my hands, "It's not like my hands don't have the capacity of holding that much water, Mr Ackerman." and kept the glass near the counter after drinking the water from it. Since Tyler didn't move and stood still staring at me, I asked, "What is it?" "Nothing," he shook his head and started heading toward the living room without saying anything further and then he stopped, turned around and said to me , "I'm going upstairs for a bit." and then he left with his laptop. I watched him until he disappeared and then walked out of the house and
