Mia's POV

I didn’t have a choice after my mum explained everything to me, but the real question was, how would I cope with all of this? I couldn't believe I’d actually agreed to follow that bully home.

My mum trailed behind me as we walked toward his car, and before I knew it, I saw my dad, along with two other couples—Nicholas’s parents, I presumed. My heart sank.

As we approached the car, I couldn’t hold back the tears. They poured down my face uncontrollably, like a broken tap. My heart raced in my chest so fast, it felt like it might burst. How was I supposed to live with this for the rest of my life?

My parents and his parents exchanged a few quiet words before they hugged me. It was all too surreal. I felt numb as I got into the car, my body stiff and my heart in shreds. The moment I sat down, I immediately turned to face the window, trying to avoid any interaction with him.

I could feel him staring at me, and just hearing his voice made my body tremble. “Driver, you can start

Nicholas's POVThe weight of Emily's words reverberated through me, each syllable a sharp, painful jab. "I'm pregnant, Nicholas” I heard again and that was when I knew that I wasn't hallucinating. The room seemed to close in on me, the air thick and suffocating as anger washed over me in waves. The blood pounded in my ears, a relentless drumbeat urging me to break something, anything, to release the fury that coiled within me."You have got to be kidding me," I snarled, the sound of my own voice more animalistic than human. I ran a hand through my hair, trying to steady myself, but it was no use. I couldn't think straight. My whole world had tilted on its axis, and I was left reeling, spinning in fear and betrayal I stormed out of the hotel room, the door slamming behind me with a force that made the walls shake. The hallway was dimly lit, cold as the anger that burned through me. The silence was deafening, but I didn’t care. I didn’t want to hear anything anymore. I needed to get aw

  • Married to my high school bully   Chapter 11

Mia’s POVI felt like the ground should open up and swallow me whole. I didn’t even realize when I closed my eyes. I had been bracing myself for a slap, the kind that had become all too familiar during high school, but when I opened them, he was already gone.“What?” I screamed, the disbelief echoing in my voice. Everything felt surreal, like a feverish dream.I pinched myself to be sure I wasn’t dreaming, and the sharp sting confirmed it: it was real.Could it be that he went inside to get something to hurt me? The thought made my blood run cold. Why did he suddenly leave? Does this mean that he might hurt me at any time? Could he come for me at any moment?A wave of panic surged through me, and I knew I had to get out of there before it was too late. Without a second thought, I sprinted out of the house, my heart pounding as my legs carried me down the path, ignoring the curious stares of the staff. The night air bit at my skin, but I barely noticed. My breath came in ragged gasps,

Nicholas’ POVThe sharp sting of pain made my breath hitch, and I looked down to see a shard of glass embedded in my leg. It had cut deep, the blood trickling out in thin, crimson streams. I should have seen it coming. I knew it was my fault, every moment that led to this had been my doing. If I had left the moment I saw her, none of this would have happened. My anger and frustration had been unleashed on her, and now I was the one suffering the consequences.I glanced at Mia, who stood there with her eyes closed. She was in shock and fear, her body trembling. The sight made me pause, but only for a fleeting moment. Why was she so scared? The question hovered in my mind, but I quickly pushed it aside. It was not my concern, because that's how she has always acted innocent when deep down she is a devil ever since high school , leaving her in the room as I made my way back to my own.The pain in my leg flared with every step, but I forced myself to keep moving. Once in the solitude of my

Mia’s POV“Rules and regulations?” I asked, confused.“Yes, you heard me right,” he replied, his voice firm. “You need to follow my rules if we’re going to make this marriage work. Honestly, I didn’t want any of this. I only agreed because of my parents’ threats, and because it helps me meet my conditions.” He said all of this while walking into the compound. He parked the car, but as soon as he did, he got out and walked toward the house. I was waiting for him to drop some bombshell, but instead, he just said, “I’ll give you the rules later,” before walking off.I watched him leave, my eyes trailing after him. I couldn’t help but admire him—he was so handsome. If it weren’t for his cruel attitude toward me, I would’ve probably had a crush on him by now.“No one would guess he’s a bully just by looking at that handsome, innocent face,” I thought, clicking my tongue in frustration.I let him go and waited a few minutes before finally stepping out of the car. As I entered the living roo

Nicholas POVI leaned back in my office chair, crossing my arms as I stared at Josh, waiting for his response. The tension in the air was thick. He had just asked me a question, but I couldn't help but feel frustrated. I wanted to know what he thought, what he really thought I could do about the situation I found myself in."What did you think I could do, Josh?" I asked, my voice tinged with frustration. "You think I can just snap my fingers and make everything go away?" I was annoyed, but Josh wasn’t backing down. He just sat there, looking at me with that familiar calm expression.Josh shifted in his chair, raising an eyebrow. "Forget about that for now. I'm asking you, why are you even at work? Shouldn't you be enjoying your honeymoon with your new bride?"I stared at him, my lips twitching. "Really? You’re asking me that now?" I snapped. "You're using questions to ask me more questions?""No, no," Josh said quickly, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "Let's not go down that r

Mia’s POVAfter I finished my meal, I quickly got dressed and headed toward the door. But just as I stepped outside, a man approached me. He introduced himself as a driver, claiming he had been sent by Nicholas to take me wherever I needed to go.“Really? Are you sure?” I asked, my voice laced with doubt.“Yes, ma,” he replied, his tone polite and respectful. For a moment, I just stared at him, unsure of what to make of this sudden change in Nicholas's behavior. Then, without realizing it, a smile escaped my lips. The only thing that gave me any sense of assurance was that it wasn’t late this time—unlike that awful night when everything spiraled out of control. But still, I couldn’t shake off the nagging feeling that something wasn’t quite right. Why is he suddenly acting so nice? I wondered. This isn’t the Nicholas I know, why is a bully suddenly acting so nice?or is he doing all this because he has something else planned? Mia's POV “Yes, you have to kill him,” she said.I looked at her closely, and I’d never seen Charlotte looking so devilish as she stared at me expectantly. I couldn’t believe my best friend would harbor such thoughts. Did she truly care about me enough to suggest I murder a human being just to be free? I asked, the tears in my eyes drying up involuntarily.“I can’t! I can’t, Charlotte! I can’t kill him. If there’s anything else, please tell me,” I pleaded.“I don’t have anything else in mind since you can’t kill him and take your revenge for all the relentless bullying he inflicted on you during school. I guess I have nothing more to say,” she replied, her voice laced with disappointment.“You know me too well, Charlotte. You know I can’t hurt a fly, let alone kill someone, especially a human being. And not just any human being, but my husband. If he were to suddenly die, people would suspect me. If I want revenge or happiness, I have to find another way, not by killing him. Besides,

Nicholas' POVI had been back home for the past two hours, pacing around the living room, my mind spinning. Where was she? Mia hadn't come back yet, and I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling creeping over me. I didn't even know when it started, but now, all I could do was check the time every few minutes. I couldn't believe how much I was actually worrying about her.As I sat there, lost in my thoughts, my phone suddenly buzzed in my hand. I checked the caller ID, and to my surprise, it was her mother. I had saved her number the last time we spoke."Hello, good afternoon! How are you doing, and how is your daughter?" her voice came through, warm but laced with concern."She went out," I replied, trying to sound casual."What? Why would you allow her to go out alone just like that, when you’re newly married?" Her tone shifted, an edge of panic creeping into her voice."She's not a child, and I'm not supposed to lock her inside," I answered, frustration bubbling in my chest. I was starting

Mia’s POV“What is this woman saying? Is she kidding me? How could I be pregnant?” I thought, my mind racing in disbelief. When I first heard the word “pregnancy,” I was so shocked I couldn’t process it. I wasn’t expecting her to say that at all. But as I thought it over again, I realized she was serious. She really meant the word “pregnancy.” I could feel my heart racing as panic gripped me.“No... no, ma,” I stammered, my voice trembling. Before I could say anything more, I heard Nicholas’s voice, and he cut me off.“Mum, she’s not pregnant. I just got back from the doctor. She passed out because of shock, not because she’s pregnant,” Nicholas said. I felt a wave of relief wash over me when I heard his voice, but I was still in a daze.I couldn’t even bring myself to look at him.“Shock?” his parents both chorused at the same time.“Yes, Mum. Shock!” Nicholas replied firmly. They were about to ask me more questions when Nicholas spoke up again, interrupting them.“Mum, please, leave

Nicholas' POVI couldn’t stop staring at her. She looked stunning. The red gown she wore clung to her body like it was made just for her. I found myself mesmerized by her beauty, unable to tear my eyes away. I didn’t even realize when I started speaking to her.“Good morning,” I said softly, though it felt strange, as if my voice was drowned by the silence between us.But there was no response. I repeated myself, slightly louder this time, trying to catch her attention. Still, nothing.I felt a wave of frustration rise within me. I was already on edge, but now irritation started bubbling up. Before I could react further, I remembered.I was the one who had set the rules between us, the one who insisted on communicating only through text. I couldn’t say anything face to face, and neither could she. I had forced her into this rigid silence, and now I was angry that she wasn’t responding. But it wasn’t her fault,at least not directly. It was mine.I let out a frustrated sigh and turned t

Nicholas POVI could hear my wife’s voice echoing through the hallway. The words hit me like a slap in the face. I didn’t know how to react, but before I could stop myself, I found myself standing there, tense and ready to snap.“Don’t you dare mention my wife in that filthy mouth of yours,” I growled, anger rising in my chest.“Oooh! Now I get it!” Emily's voice was taunting. “I know why you’re mad. It’s Mia, isn’t it? You can’t stand hearing her name. That’s why you gave her that car so easily. Last time you said you weren’t in love with her anymore, but now look at you. You still defend her! Hah, I should’ve known.”The words stung, each one slicing deeper than the last. I wanted to lash out at her, but I held back. I couldn’t let my emotions get the best of me.“Emily, please,” I started, taking a deep breath. “Calm down. I understand that you’re angry because of what Mia did to you. I get it. She took your best friend’s fiancé, and that’s messed up. But you need to stop projecting

  • Married to my high school bully   Chapter 19

Mia's POVI watched him closely as he listed the rules. I didn’t need a soothsayer to tell me that he was spiraling further into madness each day. The demon in front of me could easily kill me at any moment, just like Charlotte had warned. At first, when he mentioned the rules, I thought they would be something severe, something that would trap me in his grip even more. But to my surprise, they were simple enough, rules I could live with. It seemed too easy. Could it really be this simple? I wondered. As I was lost in my thoughts, I suddenly heard him scream. The sound startled me, and without realizing it, I closed my eyes, bracing myself for whatever might come next. I bowed my head, expecting a blow. But moments passed, and there was no sound. Tentatively, I opened my eyes, only to be met with the shocking realization that he was gone. Vanished. Nowhere to be found."Where did he disappear to?" I thought, confusion spreading through me. Then, just as quickly, I shrugged off the thou

Is that even possible? Please! I need to go home. He must be waiting for me already. Maybe that’s the reason he called,” I thought as I quickly grabbed my bag and left the house. The driver was waiting for me outside. It took us only a few minutes to get home, but in that short time, all that was on my mind was what Charlotte had told me. I couldn’t believe she would be so wicked, asking me to kill someone just to take revenge and be free.“It can never be possible. I am not that wicked. That would make me a monster,” I murmured to myself, shaking my head vigorously.“Ma, are you talking to me?” the driver asked, hearing me.“No! No!” I quickly replied, my voice shaking with unease.A few minutes later, we arrived home, and I saw him standing outside. It looked like he had been waiting for me.I took a deep bre
