On the morning of the fourth day, the four finally left the island.

This time, Suzie was able to watch the scenery outside the window.

Above 40,000 feet, the land disappeared and the sea of clouds bathed in golden rays appeared in Suzie's view. It was a marvelous scene.

An hour later, the plane landed.

Reyna and Philip had to go on their separate ways. The former clung to the latter as if not wanting to let go. Philip laughed at Reyna's coquettish act.

"I will visit you soon. We won't be separated for long."

Reyna finally let go of Philip after being coaxed.

On the side, Xander and Suzie quietly watched them.

Xander subtly glanced at Suzie.

He wanted to say a few words of gratitude to her. The past three days on the island birthed the idea of inviting Suzie again. But for some reason when he was about to utter a word to her, his heart would beat faster and his mind would be in disarray.

He had been like this ever since witnessing the magical scene that night.

The next day,

A week had passed since the trip. So far, Suzie's life was peaceful. However, for the first time, Suzie doesn't like the silence around her. But she wasn't a person who drowns in her concerns. She intends to work on it and solve it. Suzie felt that the cabin was getting bigger and looked desolate. She doesn't like this bleak atmosphere. So to change the atmosphere of the whole cabin, she started renovating the house by herself. Fortunately, she was now treated as how the Eldest Madame should be. However, she still had to stay in the old cabin to accompany her husband. Nevertheless, the maids were now treating her with politeness. With just one request from the head maid, everything she requested came in time. Suzie was able to paint the walls of the house. Put carpets on the wooden floor. And install new lights and new equipment. This was Reyna's other gift to her. However, she could not request anything that would help Javier- such as medicine or doctors. But that was oka

There was a gloomy atmosphere in the air. The air conditioner in the room seemed to decrease in temperature by several degrees. Suzie was silent for a long time. Her heart was heavy. She thought Javier was getting better. But in fact, he was getting worst. Based on Dylan's story, the more Javier recovered his senses the more he was in pain. So during the whole time they were conversing, Javier was enduring the pain? Suzie took a deep breath. "When are you going to start the surgery?" "Tomorrow. The doctors are rehearsing it every day. I'll be on the surgical team too. This will be a difficult operation. Something that we have never done before. But all the doctors involved are the best in the field. We won't make any stupid mistakes, I promise you." Suzie clenched her fist. She did not dare to ask what would happen if the surgery fails. The answer was obvious. Javier would fall into eternal slumber. He would remain unconscious until his body gave up. Javier had lasted for m

That night, Suzie wasn't able to sleep peacefully. She spent her day in a daze then glanced at her phone for Dylan's message from time to time. But her phone did not ring for the whole day. This made Suzie anxious. How long surgeries normally lasted? When her grandmother had gone into surgery in the past, her grandmother was sent out from the operating room three hours later. The doctor even said that it was such a difficult surgery and it took a long time. How about Javier?Suzie was not in the mood to distract herself. It would be great if she could know the result soon. So she no longer had to feel tense as if a knife was pointed at her chest all the time. The sun had set but no news had reached her yet. When Suzie was washing the dishes, her phone suddenly rang. She immediately put down the dishes and reached out for her phone despite the dishwashing soap in her hands. She did not even notice the caller's name. She hastily answered the phone."How is it?" Suzie's question came f

"Uhm...This package is named under the eldest young madame so...I was ordered by the head maid to deliver it here. Everyone is busy and I am the only one available." Yena said nervously. Suzie accepted it. "Thank you...Yena."Yena's eyes lit up. "You...remember me?"Suzie felt guilty when she was met by Yena's innocent eyes. How could she not remember her? She used Yena as her bargaining chip to pull Aunt Betty to her side."Yes. When I first came to see the main mansion, I met you. At that time, I pretended to be a new maid. You are the only person who makes friends with me so I remembered you." Suzie explained. Yena nodded her head cutely. "I remember it well too. I really thought you are a maid because you are good at doing chores--" Yena's eyes then went wide and slapped her mouth. "I did not mean it in a bad way! I just thought that it would be nice to look up to someone who knows more..." Yena slapped her mouth again. She can't seem to say the right words. If others heard it,

Three days quickly passed yet Suzie did not receive any news from Dylan. But this time, she did not anxiously wait for it. She knew Dylan would contact her once Javier woke up.It only meant one thing. Javier had not woken up yet.Fortunately, Yena visits her every day and distracted Suzie. With Yena, Suzie was able to get more information about the main mansion. However, a lot of them were rumors between the maids.Such as the previous maid resigned because she got pregnant by the gardener. And the butler in charge of the south hall has a mistress who is working in the mansion.Suzie: "...."She doesn't need all of this but it was too thrilling and exciting to gossip about. Yena was a great companion. However, despite the latter's transparency and commitment to Suzie, Suzie could not entirely trust her nor can she say things freely.Unlike when she was with Javier, Suzie had to watch her words and have to pretend sometimes in front of Yena. Suzie was stunned. Why would Colton check on Javier when he never visited his son since he and Reyna abandoned Javier in this old cabin? Jonathan's following words answered it for her. "Master has heard some rumors about a certain patient with a rare condition being treated in the country back home. There were a lot of famous doctors that flew to the country so rumors would unnecessarily form. I don't know how it leaked out but there were rumors that the patient was comatose. When Master heard about it, he wants to fly back here and check on himself to see if Eldest Young Master was in the cabin." Suzie clenched her fist. Does Colton really care about his inheritance so much that he even keeps an eye on his eldest son and prevents him from becoming well? "Where did Colton get the news from?" Suzie asked. She must tell Dylan that their situation was compromised as soon as possible. There might be someone among the doctors who accidentally leaked it without malice. But if such rum

Half a day passed and the doctor still surrounded Javier. They gave him multiple tests and checked his body's condition over and over. It was in the afternoon when Javier was finally freed from the doctor's watchful eyes. He finished a very light porridge. Dylan wanted to stuff his cousin with a lot of food. Javier was thin and all bones. However, he knew that Javier could not eat normal foods after a week. His body had to be fully adapted to light meals before eating normal meals. "How are you feeling?" Dylan asked Javier. Javier passed his bowl to Dylan and looked at his cousin irritatingly. "How many...times...you asked that?" Javier's speech was still slow. So he was having difficulties replying to Dylan's repeated questions. "...Sorry. I just want to make sure you are comfortable. I'll put this away." Dylan was about to go to the kitchen when Javier pulled on his lab coat. Dylan turned around. "....My wife." Javier said only two words and Dylan immediately understood his

That afternoon, Dylan messaged Suzie. He told her the news of Javier's recovery and also begged her to convince Javier from leaving. However, no response from Suzie came back. In the old cabin, Suzie prepared a small bag where the most important of her belongings were. Including her things that were meant for escape. She broke her sim card and flush it in the toilet. Then burned her phone. She discarded everything that might trace back to her and did not leave any hints of her identity left behind. She only saved Jonathan's number. As for Dylan, the latter only cares about Javier. Once she successfully got out, she would contact Dylan to get some news about Javier. If Javier recovered or not, that wouldn't be her problem anymore. Suzie carefully planned her escape. The best time was to time Colton's arrival. She had to do it in the chaos where Reyna and Colton wouldn't have time to mind her. In other words, during the couple's drama. Suzie bet that Reyna had not yet learned o

Suzie smiled and kissed the twin's head. "Always remember that you two not only have us but you have each other. Keep looking out for each other like this as you two grow up, okay? Then Mommy will give you a lot of rewards." Hearing rewards, the two children's moods turned happy. "What rewards? Are we going to the ocean and dive with sharks?" "Are we going to fly in the air and meet Superman?" Suzie laughed. She really wished her children would never lose their innocence and their imagination towards the world. They could grow up strong and disciplined, but they should never lose their innocence toward life and their hope for the future. She would make sure of it. "Let me think about it." The two children talked about the rewards that were about to come while they held Suzie's hand. When Javier met them at the company's lobby, he could not help but smile at the scenery. The scenery of his wife and his two children laughing and smiling warmed up his heart. Life was full of ups a

"Everyone, I appreciate your presence here. The reason behind gathering you all and convening this meeting on such short notice is to announce that my wife will be visiting." Tension hung in the air as Javier initiated the meeting. However, the revelation that followed left everyone in a state of surprise. Maintaining his composed demeanor, Javier continued, "Many of you had the opportunity to meet her at last year's opening ceremony. She expresses her regret that she couldn't personally greet each and every one of you on that occasion. My wife is a busy mother, her schedule is quite demanding. I kindly ask for your understanding in this regard." "Madame does not need to apologize." "Madame's kindness is truly remarkable. It's touching that she considers employees like us. We're genuinely grateful for her thoughtfulness." "There is no need to bother about us...." Those with a talent for flattery seized the opportunity to win favor. And their strategy proved effective. In the quiet embrace of dawn's gentle touch, the sea awoke from its slumber, its vast expanse stretching out as far as the eye could fathom. The horizon, adorned with hues of soft amethyst and pale rose, held a promise of the spectacle to come. A delicate, cool breeze carried the faint scent of salt and adventure, caressing the senses like a whispered secret. Suzie tiptoed out of the bedroom and washed her face downstairs. She then busied herself in the kitchen. It had been two weeks since the couple had stayed on the island, and there hadn't been a single day when Suzie woke up early to prepare breakfast. Partly because it was Javier's fault for keeping her up late, but whenever she did wake up, Javier had already cooked breakfast and cleaned the kitchen. Even the dishes were taken care of by Javier. There wasn't much else for Suzie to do but watch her handsome, gorgeous husband handle the chores. Suzie appreciated his efforts. However, she also wanted to showcase her cooking ski

Suzie woke up, feeling an ache in her lower body. She opened her eyes and saw sunlight peeking in through the curtains. How long had it been since she was out?She slowly sat up straight and felt the stinging sensation again. She couldn't help but blame the man once more for being too fierce last night. It was as if the married couple had a connection; Javier appeared at the door, holding a warm glass of water. He looked surprised to see Suzie awake. He hurriedly walked in and handed her the water."You're awake. How do you feel?" Guilt and self-blame were evident on Javier's face. He knew that he had been too rough last night.Suzie wanted to scold him, but seeing him like this, her heart softened. Still, she glared at him. "You were indeed too rough last night."Javier gently helped Suzie to her feet. "I'm sorry. I lost control. Mrs. Zhou kept you away from me for three days—how could I not miss you?" Javier couldn't help but drag Mrs. Zhou into the conversation.Three days without

"....so just look at me and don't be nervous." A voice sounded on the front, breaking the fight that was about to start. Ambassador Milliard and Uncle Surge had already arrived in front of the bride's waiting room. At the door, Javier was almost hugging the door as he spoke with a pitiful voice, "I really wanted to see you. I haven't seen you for three days. Mrs. Luo is too strict." "We will see each other in a few minutes. So go to the hall and wait for me. Let my makeup artists work in peace," Suzie's voice sounded from inside the room. "...Alright. I miss you so bad, wife." Ambassador Milliard: "...." Uncle Surge: "...." Fortunately, they were the only people here. If other guests happened to pass by, Javier's image would completely shift from that of a peerless young CEO to that of a lovestruck fool, simping for his wife. The door swung open, and Javier, who had been clinging to it, almost stumbled forward. Mrs. Luo emerged from the room and deliberately avoided him. "Jus

Many people began talking about the couple again. Some were a bit regretful that the wedding of the century was not publicized on the TV. They could only get some news and updates from the social media of the guests. In a salon, a group of young misses were browsing their phones as they were getting pedicures. One of the young ladies saw the post and the discussion. She sat up straight in shock and the pedicurist almost ruined the nail polish she was applying on her toes."Wow! The whole island?! This is amazing! The island is so beautiful! I want to go there!" The young woman squealed. She glanced at the young woman at the far end of their group."Bianca, Mr. Albretch has gifted a very massive and beautiful island to your sister. We can go there, right?"Bianca was also browsing her phone. Even though she did not want to see the news about the wedding, everyone was talking about it and the photos from the island kept showing up on the hot search. She naturally saw this discussion.Wh

City Z's prison had the maximum security in the country where high-profiled criminals with heavy chargers were assigned to. Because of Colton's identity and the long list of his punishment, he was assigned to this place. "Inmate 1206, you have a visitor!"
