Nothing but Mad Obsession

After a further agonizing hour of paperwork's and getting his handcuffs removed and getting all his belongings back including his clothes and car keys and phone and all other effects that were taken away from him on the morning of the arrest, Richard finally walks down the hallway to the front door of the police station unescorted and a smile plastered on his face.

He first inhales deeply, taking a very deep breath, fresh breath that's not polluted with smells of urine or sweat or even death, if it has a smell. He looks around for his car and finds it, left uncovered in the harsh afternoon sun.

"Such idiots." He mutters to himself as he walks to it and pats it fondly. He unlocks it and gets inside, inhaling his own smell, the smell of freedom to him. He starts the car and listens to the hum from the car, he sits comfortably and takes his hand away from the wheel, looking back to the tall glass building in front of him with the big symbol of the police station and it's name in large bo
