Chapter 27 - Pick Me Up

Anastasia's POV

“ Chloe! Stop running around like this!” I yelled as Chloe jumped and hopped around like a little rabbit she was. “ You're going to get yourself injured at this rate,” I sighed. I glanced over at Claude who was sitting down quietly in the living room, holding a book in his hands.

“ Don't look at me,” he snapped the moment our eyes met. “ She's your daughter, not mine. So handle her without getting me involved in her exuberance,” he ended dramatically, rolling his eye balls. Where did he even learn that word from?

“ She doesn't want to listen to me,” I sighed in frustration as I reported to Claude.

“ Then what makes you think she'll listen to me??” He frowned.

“ Just talk to her. You're her twin after all,” I blurted.

“ You do know what you said has no relationship to what we were discussing right?” He just had to correct me.

“ Just go!” I exclaimed. Hesitantly, he got up and approached Chloe who was excited over nothing this morning.

“ Chloe, if you don't stop I'll t
