The man looked at Ava and seemed to ponder for a few seconds. Just as he was about to speak, the door of the apartment opened.

Raegan was wearing an apron and holding a spatula in her hand. She looked like she had been busy cooking in the kitchen.

When she saw the man standing at the door with Ava, Raegan was obviously stunned. “D-Did you guys come together?”

“I ran into her downstairs,” the man explained as the expression on his face changed subtly. Even the way that he was looking at Ava began to become very unusual.

As soon as Ava heard this, she immediately confirmed that this man was the neurologist she was supposed to meet tonight.

The scene seemed to pause for a moment. Raegan then hurried back to her senses and opened the door for them. “Come in. Come in and talk.”

Raegan said before facing Ava again with a loving smile. “Come in, Ava.”
