Just like Carter, Shirley thought something was wrong with her eyes.

However, the face in front of her and the body temperature on her skin made Shirley certain that this was not an illusion.

“Eveline? It's really you!”

Madeline could feel Shirley’s surprise at the sight of her. Madeline smiled and nodded. “Yes, it's me. Get up first.”

“You’re still alive. That’s great!” Shirley was so excited that tears escaped her eyes, then through her blurred vision, she saw another figure. “Jeremy? Jeremy is alive too. This is great! You’re all fine!”
