However, Lillian only shook her head and started crying even harder.

Jeremy felt his heart shattering into pieces when he saw the little girl’s tears.

This is getting more ridiculous. They claim they love each other but always keeping secrets and doing stupid stuff. Their avoidance of truth has been their constant downfall.
