Chapter 30. About The Bet

To prove himself, Jordan was getting more serious with work every day. In the morning he went to work, it was dark before he came home. Now and then Jordan came home late at night. But even when Jordan got home, he was mostly in the study until almost midnight.

Clarabelle tried to understand Jordan's preoccupation. He helped prepare anything Jordan needed at home. Clarabelle felt like missing so much for Jordan. The sweet and romantic atmosphere at the beginning of the wedding seems to evaporate. Jordan seemed cold and didn't really care about Clarabelle.

"Jordan ..." Clarabelle looked through Jordan's study door. The man looked seriously at the screen in front of him, not answering. He heard Clarabelle but didn't want to react because he was focused on what he was doing.

Clarabelle came in and brought Jordan a drink. “Is there still a lot of work? Aren’t you tired?"

Jordan hasn't reacted yet. His face was straight on the screen with a frown.
