Chapter 31

Sophia shook as she saw blood. What were blood stains doing on his collar and what had happened to have caused them to be there in the first place ?

"What are you doing here?" He asked her again. Sophia's subconscious mind came back to reality as she shook her head and blinked. William was walking slowly towards her and she started to move too. He looked furious enough to snap her neck.

"I asked you a freaking question, Sophia!. Tell me, what are you doing here?!!" He roared again.

"William, I can explain. I was on my way down to get a drink. I was thirsty and then, I heard a phone ring. I thought it was mine but when I checked, it turned out to be coming from your study and that is why I came here. To find out what was ringing." she said as she shivered.

"What right do you have to come into my study because you thought you heard something?!! How dare you" he ran towards her and caught her by the arm. His grip was tight and grew tighter as she struggled to set herself free.
