Dinner with Delgado

Matilda became alert at the sound of what she just heard, and she rushed towards Skyler. "Are you okay?" She looked worried as she stared at her.

Skyler bit her lips hard, her stomach hurt but she didn't want to tell anyone so she came up with a lie.

"My fingers, I burnt my fingers by accident" she lied.

"You burnt your fingers? How come? I thought you were putting on a hand glove?" Matilda tried taking her hands but she pulled back.

"It got burnt somehow but don't worry about me, I'll be fine after a little ice " As Skyler talked, she walked to the fridge to get some ice cubes.

When she was done, she began leaving the stopper after two steps and turned back.

"Please don't tell Mason I burnt my fingers, don't even tell him I was here, I don't want him to get mad" She looked at Matilda with a pleading eye.

Matilda still looked worried for her but could only just nod and watch Skyler leave. She looked at the wasted fish on the floor and shook her head.
