I Won't Leave You

Diana was truly humiliated in the crowd. She never would have thought that one day a mere waitress would make her feel like this. 

She wanted to go to her and tear her mouth off but in front of so many people it was impossible so she went away.

Manager was looking at the scene from afar and shook his head helplessly… "Seems like I should double her bonus…. I feel really very satisfied" He said to himself as he was very happy by her performance.

In reality he was one of the victims, who had been beaten by her and her friends for no reason.

Cherry came back from her break as she was really tired so she took a 10 minutes break as she had not taken any rest in a while. When she saw Lucy squatting on the floor and sobbing, her heart skipped a beat 'Did… Did she offend someone? Or something happened to her ?' She thought to herself and ran towards her 

"Cherry… You have taken a long break.. Go down to your work if you don’t want to be fired" The manager said in a warning tone. He knew if she went there she might get targeted too. Cherry did not know what to do until she saw her getting up and running towards the balcony. She just wanted her to be fine and that’s all.

'Lucy… I hope you are fine and won’t be sad as much' She said to herself and looked at her leaving.

"Now go and stay away from Diana Lu, you know her right?" Manager warned her and she nodded her head " Yes, then go get busy and get back to your work" He said and started working and Cherry herself.

Lucy went to the balcony, at the moment she did not care about anything else. It was fine even if she was fired. She just wanted to run away somewhere so that she couldn’t come back..

Yes, it was her plan to teach Diana Lu a good lesson. She was in her university and had bullied a lot of people. She wanted to do it for a long time but she was afraid that she might end up in grave trouble. But now? Her days were counted and she had fewer and fewer days everyday to live.

She might have done her best to get rid of the debt but since it was not happening, she had decided not to do so… She had not been giving the goons their monthly interest or anything for 2 months. She told them that she would do it when she had enough money.

But in reality she was collecting all the money for Cherry to make her leave the place to somewhere safe. She knew she had no hope left unless she started earning a huge amount of money.

She squatted down on the floor and hid her face in her knees silently.

Ryan had his eyes on the girl who had just left for the battle field and as if she was ready, either to kill or to be killed. It was so amusing for him to see this kind of girl. He was excitedly looking forward to seeing what she was going to do further.

He saw as soon as she reached Diana Lu, lost her composure and lifted her hand to slap her but before that she had thrown all the drinks on her. It was clear that she had done it deliberately but acted if she had done it by mistake and apologized gracefully. He could see very well that the schemer herself was trapped in this little girl’s fabulous acting skills. She was innocent and soft and that was her power to win against her.

She had exposed Diana in such a way that no one ever would have thought. He himself thought that it was not an act but was real until he saw her putting her hands in the water Jar and put it on her face to make it like she had really been crying all the time.

He was still trying to see her and understand her but she started crying for real. She was sobbing for real and he felt bad for her.

He himself was shocked to have felt like that. So he turned his face to the bar counter and started drinking but the next second he turned his face and she was gone. He had kept his eyes away for her second and she was gone already.

The Banquet ended quite late at night and Lucy and Cherry went to their homes.

"Lucy dear, are you fine? Why did you get in trouble with that witchy senior?" 

They both were lying on the bed and Cherry finally had a chance to talk about all the things which had happened.

"Cherry… I might have protected you till now from evil people… But starting tomorrow, you have to rely on yourself"

Instead of replying to her questions, she just stated her worries for her in a serious tone.

"Lucy..!! What are you talking about? Why are you being like this? I mean it’s not like you are going anywhere"

Cherry panicked when she heard her friend talking like that. She knew she must be in great depression to talk like this but still that was too much to ask.

"I… I just wanted to be stronger… There are a lot of people like Diana Lu..." Lucy said and continued "Do you think I won’t know if you do not tell me? She had tried her best to make your life hell and ruin you?"

Cherry was shocked to hear that… She never told her how a senior named Diana Lu had tortured her to death but she had endured it since she did not want to trouble her ‘sister’.

Cherry hugged her tightly and said "I know… I know very well that I shouldn’t be like this but still… Still I couldn’t do anything, she was so powerful and I am… I am just a nobody"

Her voice was full of sorrow and regret.

"Cherry.. Don’t worry, After the scene I have created today, She wouldn’t dare disturb you for time being with… As for later"

 She said and paused a little " We might not be here to go through all the things we had been here"

"Where are we going? Don’t tell me you are planning to run away from those goons? I mean it’s very dangerous."

Cherry sat up on the bed and said in a voice full of worry.

" I don’t know yet… But I do have plans to escape here. First, I will make you leave and then I will leave and then we will go to another city where no one knows and they can’t find us.. "

Lucy also sat up on the bed instantly and told her plans about escaping 

"No… I won’t leave you..!!" Cherry was afraid that something might happen to her if she were to leave alone, but it was also true that she would not be able to help her with anything.

Lucy grabbed her cheeks and made her look at herself and said "If not then we might get caught easily. That is why I want you to be a little stronger so that in future no one can easily bully us and harm us"

Lucy said and hugged her and Cherry did the same.

'I am sorry Cherry… I am doing what is best for you… I never intended to leave you but this is the only way to keep you safe' She thought in her mind and they both went to sleep after a long talk.

It was true that Lucy wanted to escape since there was no way that she could just pay the whole debt and with Cherry here, she wouldn’t be able to do anything so she had planned to send her away a long ago but was afraid of telling. But after whatever happened today, 

It gave her strength to talk her heart out. If that was not the only way left for her she would never have chosen to send her away.

She turned her head to look at Cherry who was sleeping carelessly and smiled " I will always keep you safe my dear sister, you are the only family I have left and as for father.."

As soon as she remembered about the Old Man Tang, the tears she had been restraining for a long time started streaming out of her eyes

"I don’t have a father like you, I hate you so much" She said and sobbed in silence so that she would not disturb Cherry and drifted to sleep slowly.

Next morning they both woke up early, even though they slept late but since they delivered newspapers and milk door to door, they had to wake up early and do the work to make a living. It was their routine for years so there was no way they would just slack off from the hard work.
