Alicia POV

"Wow! It's so good to have you here after so many years. You look so stunning," Mrs. Douglas gushes over me as she leads us to the dining room, and I just roll my eyes. She's the only one here yet, so I guess her kids must be upstairs, or even not around.

"I didn't know you would honor the invitation," She smiles as she pulls out the chair for me.

"Thank you," I say to her casually as I sit on the chair comfortably. The table has already been stocked up with food of different calibers. Because she's wicked doesn't mean that I shouldn't commend her, right? She's pretty skilled in cooking.

"You are welcome. Ren, please sit," She also pulls out a chair for Ren to sit beside me, and he smiles at her faintly before he takes his seat.

"Hold on, I will go call your uncle and cousins to come to join us. They are upstairs," She says to me before she walks away, leaving me and Ren back in the dining.

"You have to be careful here. You don't know
