We couldn't even tell you that he won't be with us in a few months. Call me selfish, but I was glad that you lost your memory, especially the one about the accident. But, the death of your grandfather in that accident bred another problem,"

Charlotte sniffed as she pulled back from the hug to look at her mother's face, “What problem?”

“Your grandmother began to hate you. She has never really liked me, but the hatred was not extended to you as you were her grandchild, not until that accident. She thought that if you had not demanded for you both to go to the park, your grandfather would have been with us for a few more months, and he wouldn't have died in such a painful way,”
