"Come inside, no one's going to eat you," Martin urged Ali and pushed her back slightly. He almost couldn't resist to touch her lower back that dipped to form a willow waist and round hips.

"Come in Ali, don't stand there" Harriet called from her seat when Ali was hesitant to come in. "I was telling Gerald about you."

Ali's eyes moved towards the end of the room where Gerald sat, facing the wall. Her heart was ready to fall out of her chest, she thought she was going to collapse and die before they even find out her secret.

"The Aircon is on then why are you a sweating bucket?" Martin questioned as he fetched his kerchief to wipe Ali's face. Before his hand would reach her, Harriet swatted it away and glared at him.

He retracted his hand to his side, rubbing it slightly because it was hurting. He eyed Harriet's frail-looking hand, wondering how, she could inflict so much pain with it.

Harriet held Ali's hand and dragged her to seat beside her. She looked at her sweaty face and

  • Married To A Big Shot Living With The Devil    If Ali is pregnant...

Ali stepped into the room and closed it. Her eyes first stared at the bed, where she had had her first sex. The memories were foggy as she couldn't remember anything other than the pain she felt. Gerald was a complete monster that night, and he didn't even consider that she was untouched until that day. She shook her head to get rid of the dreadful experience. Choosing to move on, she wished to have more peaceful days. But that would only happen if Gerald would listen to what she has to say. She sat down on the sofa to wait for him, but ten minutes later she dozed off. Her body was weak from all the emotional stress she had gone through for the past days. Gerald walked into the club, his stride long and graceful as he made his way directly to his private room. The room was a special bonus given to him as an exclusive member and a generous investor. It was almost like he was the owner. Well in a literal sense he was, and Barry was just the owner in paper. As he walked thro

Gerald's jaw tensed and he gritted his teeth because of what he saw. Ali had walked out of the bathroom, pulling her underwear to cover her ass. He closed his eyes and looked away, and at that moment Ali noticed his presence and a scream erupted from her lips. "Aaaaa! What are you doing here?" She asked, quickly wearing her underwear. Her face became flushed from embarrassment at being caught naked. "Don't be a hypocrite, I have seen all of you," Gerald snorted and turned to face her. His hands were lost inside his pocket, his emotionless eyes glared at Ali, making her shudder and step back. His briefly glanced at her stomach as he remembered Barry's words. "If you are pregnant, it's best you abort it. I don't want a child from a woman of your kind, who stoops so low to sell her body for money," he said heartlessly. Ali looked up at him, surprised at first, that he concluded that she was pregnant but when the rest of his words sank in, her face turned grim He was demeaning her b

Gerald looked at her sorry state, her red eyes and finally her pale lips. His mind seemed to have shut down and as if under a spell he leaned in to kiss her. However, Ali shoved him away and what followed next was a resounding slap. The slap forced Gerald back and he landed on his butt. A look of surprise appeared on his face the same time Ali gasped in horror. The both of them stared at each other in shock, as if not believing what happened between them. Gerald touched his cheek where he could feel the sting from the slap. He stared at Ali without blinking for a few seconds. "You dare to slap me," he asked, looking up at her. Ali's soul had already left her body, as she struggled to stand, her legs were wobbly. She looked down at Dylan and began to apologize. She was terrified, and stared at Gerald with a terror-stricken expression. It felt like the slap wasn't given to Gerald but instead a knife was stabbed into her stomach. "Has she left yet?" Gerald asked, taking a sip of his liqueur. He was seated in front of the bar counter. "Yes. I asked Nell to send her home," Barry answered, standing a few steps away from Gerald. Gerald stared at the glass in his hand before drinking everything in it. The cup made a loud thud sound as it came in contact with the table. "You seem to be losing your reasoning to pick a random woman who came to your doorstep to serve me," Gerald stared at Barry from the corner of his eyes. "Tell me Barry, do you need a break?" He asked. Barry quickly shook his head, "No. It was a foolish mistake. We couldn't find Lily anywhere and since the girl was a virgin...." "You thought it was safe to be with her. Because I once said, I've never had a virgin huh," Gerald cut him off with a sigh. He poured himself another drink before turning his seat to face Barry. "It's my fault," Barry hung his head low, his face was plastered with guilt. "Why do you keep your head low? Want me to c

Joe played with the toy in his hand as Ali fed him his lunch which was a bland porridge. He grimaced everytime he was given a spoonful of the food. "You shouldn't make such a face when eating Joe. Look, I can see wrinkles on your face," Ali's best friend said, pointing to Joe's forehead. She was a journalist who just returned from her vacation in Australia. She wasn't aware about Ali's predicament untill she returned a few hours ago. "Aunty Emily, the food is very bad," Joe complained, even though he opened his mouth to take another spoonful. "That is what convalescent patients take. Eat and don't trouble your sister," Emily lightly scolded. She pointed at Ali, "Your sister already looks like a shrimp worrying over you. So you better get better and grow bigger okay." Joe looked at his sister, his eyes watered. "Hush, don't cry. If not me who would care for you?" Ali asked, as she wiped her brother's face. Ali's heart shook, and she immediately stood straight like a rod and shifted away from Charles. "Are you alright?" Charles asked, staring at her with a look of worry. "Uh–yes I am," Ali breathed, looking down at the floor as she didn't want to look at Gerald. Why did he have to walk here at that very moment when Charles caught her? Gerald's eyes shifted to Charles, and the marketing director quickly said. "She slipped, and I caught her." "You should be careful with people you catch. You might end up falling harder than the person," Gerald said. It was a subtle threat, but Charles failed to understand it as he was unaware of the relationship between the new CEO and his newly appointed marketing assistant. Ali knew he was talking about her, even though he didn't spare her a glance. Her heart raced with him just standing there and talking. His aura seemed to have magnified, and she felt like she was a pauper standing before an emperor. A cruel, hot emperor. Charles chuckled afte

The hospital where Dr Wood worked was the biggest hospital in the country, and the hotel where Lilian had the fire accident belonged to an influential tycoon in the country. Whatever transpired in both of these big establishments was definitely not a coincidence. "I will drop by later before going back. I was going to propose to Ali yesterday," Dr Wood said. Mr Wood blinked in surprise at the information. "Oh, do you still–" "I don't care about that father," Dr Wood interrupted his father, knowing what the man wanted to say. He squashed the coffee cup with his palms and stood up, saying, "It's my fault for not paying and asking her to get the remaining. I acted too indifferent." "You didn't. Your brother needed you at that time, our family needed you," Mr Wood stated. His youngest son had somehow gotten involved with a con artist and was swindled a huge amount of money and, if not for his assistance, they would have ended up in the streets. It appeared that she slept so deeply last night that she failed to hear when he came in, but how did she end up outside? She had never sleepwalked before and would definitely not start that now, so the only explanation was that Gerald had moved her out last night. Everyone had the same conclusion, even though Gerald kept a poker face and acted like an oblivious child. "Did someone die that you women decided to stand at the door with gloomy faces?" Gerald asked, looking at his grandmother. He didn't spare Ali a glance, and it only made Ali feel worse because he was blatantly ignoring her after what he did. "I thought that someone indeed died; otherwise, why would your wife be sleeping on the floor, right outside your room?" Harriet replied unhappily. Gerald's lips quirked up, and he passed a glance at Ali before looking away. "How would I know? She must have crawled out here without realizing it. Her limbs are surprisingly all over the place." He perked Harriet and walked away.

He sighed, feeling a headache form. His grandmother had a way of throwing people into illusions, causing frustrating confusion. "How annoying," he tsked. "Hm, did you say something?" Barry asked, looking back at Gerald. Gerald glanced at him then closed his eyes but as soon as the darkness covered his vision, he saw a certain woman. She looked radiant and breathtakingly enchanting in the white wedding dress. Her naive, black, starry-like eyes and her innocent smile. The way she looked at him when he told her that she had signed a contract with the devil and how she stood her ground to not move during the wedding reception made him ponder if perhaps Ali had a split personality. She wasn't as weak as she appeared to be and seemed to have a mindset that worked differently from others. He couldn't tell if she was a white lotus or a stray cat. Thinking about it now, he realized that her emotions and actions sometimes clashed. Just like when Jared abducted her and he went to save

Gerald stared at Madeline with a cold, calculating smile. The room fell into an eerie silence, as Madeline suddenly turned quiet from shock after seeing the child. Her fear was etched across her face. She could not believe that Gerald had caught a hold of her family. She had painstakingly hidden them away, so how did he find them? She was sure they were safe, and no one would link them to her.Alan, the man who had been roughly dragged into the other room, looked startled and disoriented. His eyes darted around the room, glaring angrily at the men who pinned him to the chair and tied him up. He had been captured when he was returning from his meeting with a client in Mongolia. Madeline's son continued sobbing in the other room, and it brought tears to Madeleine's eyes that slipped down to her shirt. "Gerald, they did nothing wrong to you, I hurt you, please let them go. The door was pushed back by William, and as he walked in, his eyes observed the condition of the room sharply, even under the scarce lighting. He was quick to pick out a flying insect in a corner of the room. It was a cockroach."I didn't remember giving you permission to have companions," Gerald said, looking in a particular direction. Harriet raised a brow, looking at Ali quizzically. "Why are you against it? Is there something wrong with your body? A scar?" Ali shook her head and nodded at the same time. She stared, confused and frustrated at the same time. Harriet tilted her head, her eyes narrowed. "Did Gerald hurt you?" She asked, the air around her turning chilly. Ali's mouth opened and shut as she struggled with herself about whether to tell Harriet about it or not. But seeing as the woman's expression was turning uglier by the second, she decided to tell her. If Harriet could punish Gerald for hurting her, then why would she hold back? She lowered the neck of her collared shirt and showed Harriet the finger marks on her neck. She side-glanced at Harriet and noticed the way the older woman was trying so hard to control her anger. Hello guys, Please note that this note is to inform you that this chapter is intertwined with two scenes. One is where Harriet is giving us a history of Gerald, and the other is what Gerald is doing. Don't get confused. I am going to demarcate them with a line. You'll also know the reason why Gerald hated marriage and really hated Ali, and why he was so cruel and heartless.__________ Gerald walked past the man, his steps turning hasty as he reached the door of the room in no time. "When did he awaken?" Gerald asked, glaring at the doctor."Yesterday, but he was fine until an hour ago," the doctor frantically explained, his gaze darting to and fro between Gerald and the door. The way his body trembled made Gerald glare harder at him. The screams continued, and so did the thudding on the wall. "Where is Nurse Blair?" Gerald asked, taking off his wrist watch, then his jacket. "T—that," the doctor hesitated, his shifty eyes stared at everywhere but Gerald. Gerald's face became unsig
