I am yours

The rain poured down heavily, drenching the streets. Emily ran without hesitation, plunging into the downpour, not caring about the clothes clinging to her body.

"Delvin!" Emily called out in panic, her voice nearly drowned out by the torrential rain. Without a second thought, she knelt beside him, her eyes full of concern. "Are you okay, Delvin?" she asked, reaching out to help him up.

Delvin looked up, rain dripping from the tips of his hair. His eyes held a trace of worry as he looked at Emily. "Why did you come out here? You're soaked, Emily," Delvin said.

Emily shook her head firmly, despite the rain continuing to drench her face. "How could I just stay put seeing someone I care about fall in the middle of this storm? I'm worried! Come on, get up. Let me help you stand."

Slowly, Delvin rose, feeling the warmth of Emily's hand that starkly contrasted with the cold rain.

His eyes had been fixed on Emily all this time. He remained silent after hearing what Emily had just said.
