Chapter 6: Darryl returns Regina's bra

Regina wearily fell asleep in bed for a while until the maid came knocking on her door.

"Lady Regina Lynne, Sir Joshua calls you downstairs immediately."

Hearing the maid's anxious voice, I was a bit surprised. I quickly put on a classic and comfortable chiffon dress, fixed my long, messy hair and went downstairs.

The noisy conversation made me suspicious, because recently, since my family fell into a state of capital shortage and was in danger of bankruptcy, no one came to our house.

When I entered the living room, I immediately saw Darryl Rider. On reflex, I was about to turn around and leave. But before I could do that, my father smiled and waved to me.

"Regina, here you are. Hurry up and say hello to Mr. Rider."

I stopped, my heart pounding, sweat uncontrollably pouring out the back of my skirt. I understand this time I can't avoid it, so I have to pretend to be stupid and not remember anything.

"Hello, Mr. Rider." I sat down next to my father.

Darryl Rider's eyes lifted slightly and looked at me deeply, his deep blue eyes made it difficult for me to guess what he was thinking.

"Sir Rider is here to discuss business with our family." Mr. Joshua laughs with ease and enthusiasm. "We're really lucky to receive an investment from you. It's like a dream."

Joshua and Anne both laughed merrily, as if the anger and hostility they had aimed at her this morning were not their true feelings.

"Lady Lynne is as beautiful as the day we met." Darryl sat cross-legged, leisurely, one hand resting on her chin and tilted her head to look at her.

For some reason, Regina felt like he was looking through her clothes and examining her body. Regina's cheeks flushed red, she awkwardly turned her head away and tried to look calm.

"You two know each other?" Anne smiled as she spoke, but the fleeting glance at Regina did not carry any goodwill.

"Yes, yesterday I happened to see Lady Lynne having some trouble with Mr. Peter, so I helped her."

Darryl Rider explained simply, Mr. Joshua and Mrs. Anne immediately understood what had happened. So it's not a coincidence that Darryl comes to find their family and actively makes an investment offer for their company that is about to go bankrupt. Earlier, Anne had wondered why Darryl suddenly asked Regina Lynne if she was at home. She thought Darryl was simply curious or interested in Regina, but she didn't expect it to be so profound.

Mr. Joshua and Mrs. Anne glanced at each other, they both understood who Regina had slept with yesterday.

Mr. Joshua is a cunning and observant man, and he laughs and says.

"Mr. Rider, your investment makes us very grateful. We wondered if there was any way we could repay you?"

"..." Darryl was still looking at Regina from beginning to end, observing her expression as if it were a pleasure, finding it cute when she blushed. When he heard Mr. Rider ask that, he raised his eyebrows slightly. "Miss Lynne isn't betrothed, is she?"

Mr. Darryl asked me, Regina was a little startled and turned to look at him, then gave him a small nod.

Mr. Joshua grasped the situation quite quickly, he immediately saw Darryl's eyes filled with interest and love for his daughter, so he made an offer.

"My daughter is only 24 years old, currently a singer. She is a bit quiet and quiet but very obedient. If Mr. Rider made my daughter the woman by your side, I believe she will not let you down."

"You want to marry Regina Lynne?" Anne widened her eyes in surprise and exclaimed. "This...."

"Three days later, my assistant will come to your eco-zone and transfer the investment amount as promised. Guys can take advantage of that time to think carefully. I hope to see Lady Regina at my mansion after three days."

Having said that, Darryl Rider did not linger long, he left immediately. His demeanor is used to making suggestions or giving orders, he doesn't like to explain too much. "So what do you really want? Denying Darryl's request? You want him to kill this family?" Mr. Joshua scratched his head, thinking at first he was lucky to have Darryl Rider's help, but now things seem to be getting more and more complicated.

"You care so much about Regina, what about my daughter? Is Roxana Lynne not worthy to be Darryl Rider's wife?" She blurted out what she really thought.

Just as everyone was discussing an arranged marriage that Darryl proposed for their daughter, Roxana's voice echoed from the outside gate.
