I slid into the sleek leather seat of my car, my mind began to wander. The familiar scent of my luxury interior and the soft hum of my engine could not take my mind off Olivia's words; what did she mean when she said she would explain everything? And what does she even mean by everything?

My mind kept drifting back to the smile I saw on her face when she walked past me to the washroom and the way she seemed to glow this early morning. I shook my head trying to clear the haze. I didn't even fucking know why I was fucking thinking about her.

She mean nothing to me, she just seems like a fleeting acquaintance. I reached for the infotainment system and chose my favorite song, "Energize," which always gets me pumped up for the day ahead. The beat was so infectious that I found myself nodding along as I drove into the busy streets.
