Chapter 5

When Lucian left his newlywed wife Natalie just after the wedding, everyone started talking about it.

"What a poor girl?"

"How could he leave his wife here like this?"

"Did you notice he did not even kiss her?" Everyone kept talking, but Natalie was dead calm. It didn't bother her a bit because she didn't expect anything from her husband. All she wanted was to crash Lucas under her feet without showing any mercy.

Natasha smiled sarcastically at Natalie and whispered, "Do you understand how unworthy a girl is that a crippled man would neglect her? Of course, anyone in your crippled husband's place would do the same because even if he is crippled, he has a lot of money. No man would like an uneducated, uncultured and ugly pumpkin from a village like you. It is good that your husband showed you your place just after the wedding now you won't have any trouble understanding your own place anymore."

Natalie smiled softly and then lifted her foot and stepped on Natasha. When Natalie's two-inch high heels dug into her skin, Natasha screamed in pain. She immediately pushed Natalie to get her off but after pushing her, Natasha couldn't keep her balance and started falling off the stage. Natalie pretended to catch Natasha, but instead of helping her, she slapped Natasha tightly on her cheek.

Natasha screamed and fell off the stage.

"Natasha" Mary and Lucas ran to her. "Honey, are you okay?" Natasha touched her cheek and then looked at her feet. She saw her foot was red and swollen. She looked at Natalie and shouted, "That uneducated pumpkin deliberately put her foot on mine. I have an audition tomorrow. How am I going to walk now? That ugly pumpkin did it on purpose"

"Sister, are you okay?" Natalie quickly got off the stage and stood in front of Natasha. Natasha folded her legs, afraid that Natalie might put her high heels on her feet again. Seeing this, Natalie felt great satisfaction deep in her heart.

"Have you lost it? Did you leave your freaking brain in your room before coming here? How could you hit my precious daughter?" Mary looked at Natalie sharply and shouted with anger.

Mary couldn't stand Natalie at all. She thought that since Natalie lived in the village and made a living by farming, her skin colour would be dark, and she would be very ugly, but after seeing Natalie, all her ideas changed. Natalie's milky white skin colour and the perfect figure looked like a perfect sculpture made by a skilled artist. Looking at her beauty, she felt very jealous.

"She hit me. You must make her pay for this, Mom?" Natasha pointed at Natalie With anger.

Natasha was rubbing her swollen cheek while looking at Natalie furiously. Deep down, she couldn't suppress her grudge against Natalie, who was responsible for her swollen cheek. "As a model, my face is what matters the most to me, yet she went for it straight. Damn her!. I will never let this slide so easily,!" Natasha was so angry that she forgot that they were at the wedding hall now and there were a lot of people there who were watching her.

"Natasha, please come down. I will talk to her," Lucas tried to calm his daughter, watching everyone looking at them.

"Come down! Are you joking with me, Dad? Did you see my face and my foot? I have an audition tomorrow. How am I going to do it now? She must have done it on purpose. She is jealous of me. She did this out of jealousy. You can't let her go easily. Make her pay for it, Dad. She ruined my career. You must take avenge of it" Natasha cried out to look pitiful.

Natalie ignored her and stood in front of her so-called Father and spoke up innocently, "Sister, how could you say this? I could have thought of doing such a horrible thing. I feel so terrible to see you like this. Dad, please believe me it was just an Accident. I never meant to hurt my sister. How could I have thought of hurting my own sister? It was an accident and nothing more. I just wanted to help"

Natasha was shocked to see her acting skills. Her acting skill was definitely something.

"Help! Do not make me break your teeth you bitch! Do you really call it help? You stepped on my daughter's foot with your two inches-high heel and then you slapped her. How dare you call it help? You clearly abused my poor child, you uneducated village pumpkin" Mary fisted her hand and said in a sharp tone. Anger and clearly visible in her words.

Natalie shook her head immediately. "I am not telling lie. You know I spent my entire life in the village.

So, I am not used to wearing high heels. I could not keep my balance and stepped on Natasha's feet. I did not do it on purpose. When she was falling from the stage, I quickly reached out to hold her hand but my hand accidentally touched her cheek. I did not slap her on purpose. Why would I go and slap my sister?

I have lived alone in the village all my life and prayed every day for my family to come and take me. After all this time, my prayers have been answered. I have returned to my family, so why should I hurt my family now when I love my family very much? You are misunderstanding me. I did not try to hurt Natasha. If you don't believe me, you can slap me. I won't say anything, but please don't misunderstand me." Natalie's eyes filled with tears as she spoke, looking at her, it looked like she was going to cry at any moment.

Hearing Natalie's words, everyone present looked at her with sympathy and started blaming Mary for her rude behaviour.

Seeing this, Lucas was very embarrassed. Natasha just clenched her fists in anger and looked at Natalie. She understood that Natalie was acting. Mary was about to say something, but before that, Luka stopped her and said, "Don't say another word. When Natalie said it was an accident, then it was an accident. I believe Natalie. She is not lying." Hearing Lucas's words, Mary's body started burning with anger. But she controlled her anger without creating any scene in front of the guests.

Lucas looked at Natalie and said, "Your husband gave you his home address. Can you go alone or should I go and drop you off at his house?" Natalie's body writhed in hatred after hearing Lucas's words.

She shook her head and said, "There is no need for that. I can go alone. You should take Natasha to the hospital instead. Her cheeks and legs are red. Natasha, I pray that you get well soon." Natalie looked at Natasha and said with a sympathetic smile.

When Natalie smiled sympathetically at Natasha, Natasha clenched her fists in anger, her nails digging into her hands, but she didn't care about it anymore. She just wanted to kill Natalie.

"Okay, then go quickly. Your husband must be waiting for you," Lucas looked at Natalie and said. Natalie gave Natasha a sharp sarcastic smile and then left.

"She was acting to put all the blame on us. She fooled us. "She is a cunning fox," Natasha shouted angrily.

"If you utter another word from your mouth, no one will be worse than me. Mary, take her to the hospital." Lucas looked at them and said. Natasha was about to say something after hearing her Father's words, but Mary stopped her and gestured for her to be quiet.

After coming out of the wedding hall, Natalie started waiting for a taxi. After a while, she saw a taxi coming towards her. When the taxi stopped in front of her, Natalie got into the taxi and gave the address to the driver. After about 40 minutes, the taxi stopped in front of a huge White Mansion.

Natalie got out of the taxi, paid the fare and looked at the huge Mansion. There was a high wall around the mansion and there was a huge white iron gate in front. Looking through the iron gate, she could see the mansion was right in the middle of the garden. Natalie stood in front of the iron gate and the gatekeeper opened the gate immediately as if he was waiting for her. "Welcome, Mrs. Center" The gatekeeper was polite. He greeted her.

"Thank you," Natalie smiled and entered. After walking for ten minutes from the iron gate, Natalie stood in front of the mansion's door and rang the calling bell.

A moment after the calling bell rang, Lucian's assistant, John, came and opened the door. "Welcome home, Mrs. Center" John greeted her and moved from the door to let her enter. Natalie entered and her eyes widened. The interior of the mansion was decorated with sophisticated design. Everything in the mansion was silently screaming their history and value. Natalie looked around, but Lucian was nowhere to be seen. John saw Natalie looking around and said, "Mr. Center is in his room. The doctor is checking his condition. Mr. Center's condition suddenly worsened, so we had to leave like that. We did not want to leave you behind. I hope you understand." John didn't want Natalie to think Lucian was wrong, even though Lucian had left her there on purpose.

Natalie understood John's intention and looked at him and said, "Which room is mine? I want to rest?" John was a little surprised to hear Natalie's words. He thought that when she got home, Natalie would start shouting about why Lucian had left her there alone like that. But now, hearing Natalie's words, he seemed to understand that Natalie knew something was going to happen like this, and she was ready for it.

Before John could say anything, the doctor came out of Lucian's room with with a sad expression on his face. Natalie looked at the doctor and frowned. She knew the doctor. He is a very skilful doctor.

Seeing the doctor, John walked towards him and asked, "Have you checked his condition? How is his leg now? His leg will be fine, right?" John asked the doctor with great hope, but the doctor looked upset and said, "I don't have the ability to heal Mr. Center's leg. His leg's condition is getting worse day by day. Find the magical doctor as soon as possible. Find the doctor before it is too late"
