‘I really hope Levi approves my day off request tomorrow,’ I hear a male voice say, ‘He knows I wouldn’t ask without a good reason. And this is a good reason.’

I can’t figure out how I’m hearing him, as I’m in my living room, alone. I look out the window, and there’s only one person outside, and he’s stationed at the gate, too far away for me to actually hear.
