Marriage Contract

With flights suspended at the airports, Berat tries to escape the harsh winter and the pain of having lost his wife a little over three months ago, traveling with his two children, four-year-old Ferhat and two-year-old Volkan, to Georgia, a city which borders Turkey.

Unexpectedly on the road, a rock slides from the ravine in front of you, causing a rollover accident.

Trapped by a seat belt, Berat screams for help when he sees his helpless children crying, tied to the car seats in the back seat.

Efé, who was returning from a family wedding, next to his wife and also their six-month-old twin children, does not think twice before parking his vehicle on the side of the road, to try to save that man who was screaming desperately for help, trapped by the belt in the car.

“ Help me”.

“Calm down brother. I'll get you out of there”.

Efé's wife approaches with her hand on her head.

“ His luck was the airbag had deployed”.

A strong smell of gasoline invades Berat's nostrils, who realizes that the car does not take long to explode.

“ Smell of gasoline. Take my children first, please”.

Efé looks at the backseat, quickly removing the children and handing them to his wife.

The rain followed by a strong thunder happens, but nothing stops Efé from giving up on saving that stranger.

With a penknife, Efé cuts the seat belt and forcefully pulls Berat out, dragging him away from his car, which does not take long to explode.

“You saved my life and that of my children. I will never be able to thank you for what you did”.

Berat and Efé become friends, making a marriage contract between their children Ferhat and Luna.

Twenty one years pass and Luna grows up without ever having seen her fiance.

The friends wave from the square and Luna replies asking them to wait.

“So Mom? I can go”?

“Luna, you know that your father doesn't like to arrive and not see you at home”.

 “It's Sila's father's surprise birthday. It won't be long Mom, believe me. I'll be back soon and Dad won't even know I'm leaving”.

 “All right, go and come back before dark”.

Luna kisses her mother and leaves with her friends for the Besiktas basketball camp in Turkey, where a game will take place that will benefit those displaced by the earthquake.

Although it was only forty seconds, the earthquake was of magnitude 6.8 leaving more than one hundred dead and thirty-nine people trapped pulled from the rubble.

If you count around 1,500 people, they were injured and hospitalized.

Three former Besiktas players and stars joined forces to participate in a game to raise funds for the survivors of this sad earthquake in Turkey.

The friends Volkan, Kaan and Enes spared no efforts and embraced the cause.

The President of the Olímpia Milan Basketball Club, also present at the stadium, made Volkan an offer to train his team in Italy, but he refused.

Volkan CEObecome father's right-hand man, who owned the largest automobile company in the country.

Although Volkan was the youngest son, he possessed an enormous sense of responsibility, which his older brother, Ferhat, lacked.

Volkan keeps the card in his wallet and when leaving the room he collides with a beautiful girl, spilling the soft drinks he was carrying on a tray on top of her.

The beautiful young woman grumbles.

Luna frowns and her eyes meet.

Volkan loses his voice.

Volkan smiles.

Luna repeats firmly and Volkan approaches getting very close, looking into each other's eyes.

Volkan recovers from the shock of seeing that beautiful girl.

“ I was passing by and you left that room like a hurricane. Look what you did’?

Luna points to her soda-stained, wet dress and Volkan looks her up and down.

“ If you were less clumsy and more attentive this would not have happened”.

Luna is furious upon hearing these words.

Luna angrily drops the remaining glass of soda on Volkan's head, who angrily pulls her to him.

Their gazes meet and a feeling they haven't experienced yet arises in that instant.

“ Let me go or I'll call security”.

“ I should call security for you”.

Volkan looks at Luna's mouth.

“ I told you to let me go".

“ You are very stressed”.

Volkan remains holding her and looking into her eyes.

A friend of Volkan arrives to say that the game is about to start.

Luna pulls back her arm and glares.

“It was nothing Kaan”.

“ Nothing? You spilled soda all over me, ruined my dress and still say it was nothing to your friend”?

“ All right, all right. I'll buy you another soda and get you another dress. Just tell me where you live and I'll have it delivered. If you prefer, I'll give you the money and you buy it yourself”?

Volkan opens his wallet and starts pulling out some bills.

“ Do it soon friend, we need to go".

“ I think that amount pays your loss young lady”.

Luna, annoyed by Volkan's lack of sensitivity, pulls the money out of her hand.

“Look what I do with your Money”.

“ Hey, don't do that girl”!

Luna takes the money from Volkan's hand and throws it on him, then leaving the place.

Kaan laughs and they both watch Luna go.

“ Warming her up huh”?

“ Too much for my taste”.

Luna goes to meet Ceren and Sila. Friends, who came towards her.

“ Crazy girl”.

“ Where did she come from”?

“I do not know. She appeared in front of me out of nowhere and accused me of spilling soda on her dress”.

“ In fact her dress got all stained”.

Kaan laughs and Volkan takes a deep, regretful breath.

“ You're right. I could have helped the girl”.

“ Now there's no more time”.

“ Where did she go"?

“ Let's Volkan. So we are late”.

Volkan follows with Kaan looking around hoping to see Luna again.

“ Where were you Luna”?

Ceren and Sila look at Luna's stained dress.

“ What happened? What happened to her dress”?

“Crazy Ceren, who bumped into me and knocked over our sodas”.

“ I'll buy more. Luna doesn't matter. Stay here with her Ceren”.

“ Okay, Sila, we're waiting for you here”.

Luna upset shows the dress.

Kaan and Volkan talk in the locker room.

Volkan's shirt was also all stained.

“ It doesn't matter. Change the shirt after the game”.

Volkan takes off his soda-soaked shirt and puts on his game uniform, thinking about Luna and his encounter with her.

“ I have to admit that you are beautiful princess”.

Volkan mutters as he changes his clothes.

At the stadium, the announcer announces the entry of the three players.

“Tünaydin (Good Afternoon). Let's call now the former players and creators responsible for this event. Without them, it would be virtually impossible for us to help the survivors of the great earthquake that occurred in Turkey. Our thanks to the undefeated champions of Turkish professional basketball: Enes, Kaan and Volkan”.

The three former basketball players enter with an ovation, are greeted by the rest of the team and start the friendly game against Italy.

“He's the one who knocked over our sodas”.

Ceren and Sila look at each other and speak together.

Though the stadium is ablaze with screams from the fans, Luna hears nothing, only Volkan's voice ringing in her ears like soft music.

On the square, Volkan searches among so many faces to see her face again, the girl who had just robbed him of his balance.

“ Where will she be? I need to see her again”.

Volkan thinks as he scrutinizes every person in the stands, after every shot is converted into a basket.

Even though it was so difficult to find her in a crowded stadium like that, Volkan didn't give up, until his eyes found her, in the middle of the crowd.
