"Arthur, what did you do? You visited my mother in the hospital and told her everything? Didn't you consider how my mother would react?" Milly inquired as to the conclusion of her chat with her mother.

Arthur had excused himself at that point, but the man swiftly opted to pursue Arthur, demanding an explanation.

Milly was furious by this point. Emotions were rising inside her chest. Arthur took a breather, seemingly cool in the face of an enraged Milly. Arthur encouraged Milly to sit down and converse for a while. It doesn't sound nice, because it's still in a hospital environment. Yet Arthur would reveal his plans for their contract marriage.

"Why are you sitting there, Arthur? What are you thinking? What is your goal?" inquired Milly, desiring a proper answer. Because she didn't grasp the man's point of view.

Arthur could have let her live blissfully with the baby in her womb if he had wanted to. But he went to such lengths to obtain her approval.

"This contract marriage will do you no damage, Milly. It will benefit both you and your mum. You won't have to strain to pay for your mother's therapy. Your life is also protected. You can use my fortune to support yourself and your mother, but more importantly, my mother wants a grandchild, and it's in your womb. You should not be concerned; this marriage contract will not damage anyone. You are not required to fulfill the duties of a wife, and neither am I. Marriage binds us solely on paper. Marriage binds us solely on paper. We are just legally connected by marriage, without having to carry out our respective obligations and rights," Arthur remarked, pausing for a moment. Observing Milly's reaction.

The girl was deafeningly quiet, clearly contemplating all Arthur had just spoken.

"Our marriage contract is limited to a year. You can do whatever you want and ask for whatever you want. You should not be hesitant to use my family's fortune, and your mother will recover quickly if she receives adequate treatment. Following that, we will divorce and never have to see each other again. How does that sound?" Arthur was still proposing to Milly and her mother a deal and the pleasure they would experience.

Her was reluctant, as though she was still pondering Agatha's feelings. After all, she was still skeptical that they would split up. Even if they did, Milly would feel horrible for allegedly kidnapping Agatha's boyfriend.

"But what about Agatha?" Milly queried, still skeptical of Arthur's suggestion.

When he ran his fingers through his hair, the man moaned bitterly. Milly was overly concerned with other people's sentiments and ignored her own. If it had been another woman, she would have accepted Arthur's offer right away, and Arthur, recalling Agatha, also remembered that terrible night. He despised his ex-girlfriend for plotting something unpleasant and involving Milly in it.

"Agatha and I are no longer together. Didn't I tell you that already?" Arthur explained himself.

Milly had heard that statement, yet her heart still felt guilty. She assumed Agatha and Arthur had split up because of her. The girl glanced down deeply, her expression was unsure and forlorn. This also irritated Arthur.

The man took a big breath and couldn't help but describe his and Agatha's current connection.

"I already suspected Agatha was behind the events at the hotel. I was furious with her, so I severed it. Agatha has nothing to do with this contract marriage. It's entirely my wish, as well as my mother's. Mom truly wants a  grandchild, so don't be concerned, and don't feel bad for Agatha, because none of this has anything to do with her," Arthur elaborated.

"How's it going? Do you wish to marry me? "It's only a contract for a year," Arthur explained, giving Milly another option.

The young lady chewed her lower lip, unsure of her own decision. Yet recalling her mother, who was still unwell and in the hospital, caused Milly to reconsider her decision. She gave Arthur a serious look before responding definitively.

"Alright, I want to marry you."

Agatha was observed strolling hurriedly in Arthur's courtyard. Her expression was solemn, and her emotions were running high. She was furious at what her ex-lover and friend had done. Agatha even considered exacting revenge on Milly for the news she had received.

She was aware of Arthur's marriage to Milly, which enraged Agatha. She was well aware that the incident occurred on her watch. Yet she had a legitimate reason. Agatha was still attempting to reclaim Arthur since she couldn't accept her ex-decision boyfriend's not to stop the relationship. It's all because Arthur is the son of a wealthy man, and his riches are plentiful and will last for seven generations. If Milly and Arthur married, Agatha would not accept it.

As she arrived at Arthur's residence, she approached her former sweetheart, who was with Milly. She also managed to get past the house's security guards. Agatha was eager to meet Arthur.

"Is it true that you're planning to marry this poor woman, as I heard?" Agatha inquired, pointing to Milly. Milly's companion gasped and her face was sorrowful; there was a lot of remorse in her heart. Agatha, it turned out, was still unable to accept the end of her and Arthur's relationship.

"What exactly are you doing here? Who allowed you in?" Arthur inquired, irritably. Agatha's cheeks were flushed, but she seemed to ignore her ex-questions. lover's

"That's irrelevant, Arthur. Why did you marry this girl, I wonder? She isn't right for you. Why don't you accept my return? I've also apologized for any of my errors." Agatha tried to entice Arthur to return to her.

Agatha would never tolerate Arthur marrying Milly because Arthur was solely interested in her. Agatha has had a lengthy relationship with Arthur. So she'd try to wake Arthur up and bring him back.

Milly lowered her gaze, feeling sorry for all her buddy had said.

Agatha glanced at Milly, who was looking down. She glared at her buddy, not expecting Milly to stab her in the back.

"What kind of a buddy are you? So unfortunate that you wish to take Arthur away from me! I did you a favor, and this is what you get in exchange? "asked Agatha, looking up at her friend, in a shout.

Milly made a shaky motion with her head. She denied all of Agatha's claims against her.

"That's not the case, Agatha. You should first hear my reasoning. I—"

"Let my daughter-in-law alone!" screamed someone from behind, who showed out to be Rebecca.

The middle-aged woman rose to her feet and protected Milly, who had been attacked by Agatha.

"She's Arthur's future wife, so I hope you don't bother her," Rebecca stated emphatically.

Agatha was stunned and remained silent. She had no idea Rebecca knew any of this, and it appeared like the middle-aged woman had planned it all.

"But, Madam. She is not deserving of Arthur."

"I am the one who decides whether or not she is suitable. You have no right to pass judgment on Milly at random. And Milly is superior to you. I don't want a selfish, materialistic son-in-law like you. So you'd better leave before I call security!" Rebbeca exclaimed, making Agatha feel humiliated.

Agatha was dumbfounded in the face of Milly and Arthur's humiliation.

Agatha left, irritated. But she'd promised herself she'd get Arthur again and make Milly regret abandoning her.

Rebecca instantly turned around and faced Milly after Agatha had departed. She stroked Milly's shoulders, assuring her not to be afraid of Agatha.

"You have nothing to be afraid of, my dear. She will not annoy you. You must look after the child in your belly, and I will handle Agatha's situation." Rebecca stated emphatically.

What happens next? Could Milly and Arthur's marriage be a success?

In her heart Agatha actually wanted to curse at Rebecca, but considering that here was the middle-aged woman's house plus Rebecca was also Raka's mother, then she did not dare to say harsh things. She would really be shunned and possibly thrown in jail for unpleasant behavior. It was just how she explained to Rebecca that her presence was only to meet with Arthur, especially since she could not let go of the man just yet. "It's not like that, ma'am. I came here to see Arthur. I will explain everything.""What are you going to explain to my son? What do you mean, are you tricking your own friend into sleeping with my son or are you materialistic and expecting to inherit from this family? Which one is true?" The question was correct. Rebecca had made Agatha's pride suffer. But again the woman could do nothing but explain that she was not as bad as she thought."No, no. Madam is wrong to think that way. She should have just complied with Arthur's wishes, instead of doing something like that. It left the man confused and he had to find another way to get Milly to follow his wishes. Now Arthur had to calm himself down and try to get Milly to trust him again. "Alright then, I'll wait for your answer. Now how about we go for a walk?" Arthur asked trying to please Milly, preferably so that Mike could see that he was treating her very well. So that the phone wouldn't keep ringing and interrogating him. Rebecca was meddling in the household affairs of he and Milly for so long. Arthur could also be unsettled by all this. "I'm afraid I'm exhausted.""No problem, we'll rent a car. I can arrange everything," Arthur said, as if emphasizing that he would still take Milly out even if she gave 1000 refusals. Milly could on

  • Marriage Agreement   Chapter 32 The Reason

Milly looked at Arthur with a flat stare. She didn't believe it at all. Although Arthur had been loyal to Agatha all this time, but not necessarily to her. Because this marriage was not the wish of either of them, except for the circumstances and Rebecca's request. "You need time to convince me. Right now I can't think clearly. I hope you don't make the same mistake again, Arthur," said the woman and chose to sit on the bed and return the bag underneath. For now Arthur was relieved that Milly could be persuaded. But in the future he had to be careful and try to convince her to stay married to him. Tell Arthur it's doubtful. But it's all for the greater good, especially for himself and the child when it's born. Rebecca will surely love her grandchild more than her own child. So, this was the main reason why Arthur had to take Rebecca's heart and keep all his possessions. "Do you want anything?" asked Arthur. He would try to persuade Milly to make up with him. If you stay angry wit

While Milly was in the bathroom, Arthur was silent. He looked ahead with an uneasy feeling. There was resentment that he himself could not even control his lust. It was clear in the marriage contract that there was no touching. But it was Arthur who violated it all. All this was because of Rebecca's words that kept haunting him. He was afraid that his son would be like a victim of a broken home who lost his mother figure. Even if there was a babysitter or Rebecca who took care of him, it would definitely feel different if it was his own biological mother. He even thought that far, not wanting the next generation to be destroyed because of the lack of a mother's love. He really thought about it all in these few hours, until his head was filled with stressful things and even vented to Milly. But in the end, it all turned into a disaster like this. Milly wanted a separation, but of course he wouldn't do it. No matter what, Arthur had to keep Milly in the same house with him. He didn't

She turned her head to the side with puffy eyes and an annoyed look, there was a look of restrained anger on Milly's face. But the woman didn't say anything, choosing to pull the blanket up and leave Arthur's presence. Milly chose to lock herself in the bathroom and continue crying. She didn't sob and remained silent with tears streaming down her face. This was a very painful event for Milly. At this rate, how will she be able to deal with Arthur? Then, will the marriage agreement continue when Arthur has violated the points listed? But if she left Arthur, what would happen to the baby? Arthur immediately turned off his cell phone and went quickly to the hotel room. He completely forgot about what was happening at the company. A lot of people envied him, because of Arthur's success at such an early age. Even though it was continuing his father's company, Arthur's achievements that maintained the glory in the second generation made him a lot of targets. Several times his life was almost lost because of his father's enemies. Because he kept thinking about the marriage agreement, the man had forgotten that there were children to protect. Rebecca was right, if anyone found out about Milly's pregnancy, then they would be targeting Milly's safety. He would really lose his inheritance if the child disappeared as well. He couldn't let all the bad things happen, no matter what Arthur had to defend the rights that belonged to him.On the way to the room, Arthur was really worried about Milly. Arriving at the hotel restaurant, Arthur behaved strangely. He was suddenly very attentive to Milly. He even held her without letting her go. It was really strange that Arthur's attitude had suddenly changed so drastically. Even though it hasn't been a wedding, let alone holding hands, the man has always looked at Milly sarcastically. She could no longer bear to ask with this change in Arthur's attitude. "Are you wrong then?" asked Milly, making Arthur stop his steps as he turned to the woman."What's wrong?""You kept holding my hand. I'm not an old lady, I can still walk by myself," said Milly, making Arthur pause. He inwardly cursed that Milly's words were always harsh to hear. The man actually had a main reason, which was that he was afraid that Mike would be around and see their movements. If his mother called back and criticized what he did to Milly, it would be very dangerous. So, it seemed like from now on he should really be nice to this woman. At least until things started

The two of them faced each other, the situation was horrifying for Milly. She felt like she was on trial for something she hadn't done. "All right, Milly. I'm not going to mince words, let's get to the point. I want our marriage to be renewed.""What?!"Milly was stunned. She didn't even blink an eye.
