My eyes kept scanning the papers on the bed. The words ‘Divorce Agreement’ were bodily written on it. I scoffed as I hurriedly glanced through it. So he wasn't joking around.

I had woken up to the document lying beside me and it felt like a slap to my face. Did he think he could get rid of me easily? Yesterday he had ordered me to leave the house today, without my son. That would never happen.

I flung the papers across the wall and got out of bed, with one destination in mind. I walked to Ryder’s room, anxious to confront him. My eyes fell on the empty bed in the centre of the room. The bed was still made, like no one had spent the night in it.

I walked out as quickly as I entered and started searching for him in every room I could find. He must be delusional if he thought I would let him go back to that childless whore.

“Where is your Alpha?” I questioned a maid, coming up the stairs.

“He hasn't made an appearance this morning, ma'am. No one has seen him since last night,”
