Dear readers, I apologize for the lack of updates over the weekend! I’ve been juggling a lot in my real life, but I think I’ve finally found a balance that I can live with. :) There WILL be five updates this week, and I’m hopeful that it’s an update schedule I’ll be able to keep up until this book is finished (which is going to be happening!) I hope you enjoyed this chapter and can’t wait for you all to see what I have in store for the final arc. See you soon, Mathieu. PS: How do we feel about Layla *finally* confronting Reno?

Layla’s POVI left the room in a daze with an open pit in my stomach as Reno’s words replayed themselves in my head, over and over again. No single Hunter guild surpassed the Fraser’s in terms of the devastation they’d wreaked upon our kind—damage they’d been inflicting for as long as memory served. Layla’s POVSave the occasional question, Xavier and I didn’t exchange many words as we made our way through various hallways and stairs to our destination. Layla’s POVUnsealing a memory would always be an agonising process. I knew that from experience, and so I had to admit that I was pretty impressed at how the Committee members handled the situation. Dear readers, And that’s the end of it. Unbelievable, I know. I didn’t want to write an author’s note until I was absolutely finished with this, and now I am.
